Good mid-afternoon, GoGo. At 1444 it's 39 in Louisville, cloudy and supposedly going to 46, although I doubt it.

After setting up, the whole bunch of us headed off to the county fair over in Stark FL. I must say, having been cooped up inside for the winter, the clowns were out in full force. Either that or the way folks dress in 2023 has changed to more accurately reflect the government we are living under.
I hate to say it, Scott, but I fear it's the latter. Full-blown Clown Show.

Sig made it through the night without incident until Trey got everybody up wanting to go out about 4:00. They both went out and did their business. When they came back in, Sig tried to get up onto the bed but he had to have a boost. Julie helped him up and he curled up against me until the alarm clock went off.
I hope Sig doesn't decide to identify as a P365, because that would mean he's peeing all the time (365), right? Since he and Trey went out at 0400, is there maybe a Sig 400?

Oh, and this place is COVERED in coyotes. 4 different packs were howling last night at once. Had em less than 100 yards several times and haven't seen one yet! This place is THICK and nasty cover.
Sounds like me and fishing, Charlie: They were biting like crazy YESTERDAY! This comment about yotes makes me feel a little better because four of us hunted yotes pretty hard the other weekend and saw squat. We know they're there, but we had zero luck. But if y'all had four packs howling, some very close, and you still didn't see them, then I don't feel so bad. Hope you whack one this afternoon.

Gabriel, I love that T-shirt. For sure, there are waaaay too many times that I decide I can fix something myself instead of praying about it and turning it over to God. Good reminder.

Gotta get busy and convert more of my U.S. greenbacks into precious metals, those being lead, brass and copper.

Y'all have a good'n, be safe and remember to pray for our friends here who are ill or have suffered injuries. Special prayers for MrMurl and Ken's wife.

Reminds me of a Twitter video I saw yesterday. I couldn't copy it.
A young White girl of high school age was wearing a Red Cap and a Gang of Black teenagers jumped her and beat that girl senseless for a full minute. Punching, Kicking, Stomping and damHARD licks. Such it is in the new Rat America. That beating would have likely killed any of us old guys. Left her bleeding and injured.
If that had been my Daughter....I would hunt some people down.

Judy Brown took me out for lunch and to the Somerset Flea Market where I got 2 Tarps for $3.50 each and 3 Lawnmower replacement blades for a Rounded off $30. I got $10 off because I was wearing my "Let's Go Brandon" cap. He ain't well like around Here.

A nice fella from KHF brought me a bag of fresh caught Crappie fillets last evening and I fried up half of them last night. About 15 this size above. Excellent!!!!

Some y'all know"Pedro" who was Don M. slave boy. He told me about Randall "Edge" Morrow passing and said it was a suicide...which I hadn't heard that part.

Everyone have a SAFE day and try to not have A Crash landing.

Good afternoon everyone... it was a weekend of little sleep and nothing to show for it. We started hunting Friday night right at dark and went until 7 am. and never seen the first coyote. We thought we might have seen one way off while scanning but wasn't 100% sure. Went to bed about 8:30a. and got back up at noon Saturday. I left about 3:30pm and went to my blind which was tore up by wind....Sat there until 5:30 and didn't see anything. Picked up my trashed blind and went to pick up everyone else.
We ended up calling in 3 at another place and got one within range...about a 30lb female. The others hung back while she came in on a rail. Finally got home and in bed about 10am. Only 3 teams entered and another team brought in 8...organizer was late to check so we left our one dog and bolted home.

I found Randall's obit. Here's a photo and you can click it if you want to read his obituary.

I couldn't tell you what brand of rifles, actions or barrels Randall favored, but I can tell you for sure that the man could shoot. I distinctly remember one shoot-off at Jackie's that came down to "Edge" and DonM. I think we were still shooting eggs back then and we watched those two guys take turns. First guy to miss lost. They shot about 4-5 each, laughing at how well they both were shooting, then decided they'd just flip a coin. I have no idea who won the toss and it doesn't matter, because both those guys were winners in my book. I realize most of you never even heard of Randall, much less getting to shoot with him. I can't imagine any of you not liking him.

RIP, Randall, you will be missed at Buck Creek Range.

Randalls passing came as a shock to all of us who knew him. He lost his wife last summer, then had bypass surgery, and was doing pretty dang good, lots of friends checking on him, helping him when needed, and 2 of my buddies who I consider close friends, both talked to him the night before he passed, and he was in good spirits. Last time I talked to him was about a week before. Lonliness and short daylight hours can affect a persons, as well as He is sorley missed by this old feller.
