36° here in Upstate NY this morning, it finally quit raining for a bit and the high temperature for today is to be about 44°.

It rained all day yesterday no down pours here but just a steady rain. Today we are going to church this morning and then I am going to just take it easy the rest of the day.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning from Waseca, 46, clearing off and high winds. Weather front moved through the area. No rain for a while.
A day of rest and church. That is the plan.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,

Good Sunday Morning

42 this fine wet morning in NC Ohio with rain most of the day. Need to make it to Mansfield today for the last meeting of the Ohio Daylily Society. Even need to prepare a finger food. Nothing but domestic work for me today. Prayers for Pittsburgh, Sam, those, and this country. Mike

Great morning everyone,

Overcast, winds are nil and we see 41° but some rain is pushing in from the southwest here near Halfway USA. Yesterday was damp & cool. At best we received some heavy drizzle.

I was in the barn for a bit but mostly I drank coffee & checked the woodstove for yesterday. I think that's what people tell me is relaxation.

I did try something new for us. Deb & I made Frybread. I have no reference point so all I can say is it turned out edible. Tasted good but I can see a regular diet of it will add on the pounds.

I had it with dinner. Frybread, spicy red bean with bacon, ******* potatoes, sweet corn and Elk.

Good Morning

42 degrees and calling for heavy winds later today with a high of 58.
Played with the Fireball yesterday. Afterward, I loaded up a few more 223’s and swaged primer pockets in a tub of range brass that was starting to pile up.

Might get out and shoot a little this morning before the wind picks up and company arrives later.

Looks like Skruske is eating good these days but I couldn’t help but notice he has a right-handed rifle and a left-handed fork.

Make it a good day

morning all. Slept in again this morning :) 28 to start the Lords' day, should get into the mid 60s. Wow, really warm for this time of year, but they are calling for a chance of snow for Tuesday and Wednesday. Been a long time since we had a Halloween snow. They usually come in hard and cold. Could last all winter, we need that but not sure my ole bones are up to sub zero for the next several months!.
Gunshow yesterday was almost a bust! Many of the vendors were a no show, only about four that had many guns at all. Some old stuff, guns and knives. Small amount of ammo and saw one box of primers. Lots of people looking and some guns leaving the building. I bought a new knife, not sure why but I did.
I was hoping it would be better but hard to get much going in a small town I guess.
Off to church, did our shopping yesterday so just to church and back home.
Have a blessed Lords' day, remember our country and leaders in prayer.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good Sunday morning. 42 on the way to 68 here in the beautiful Mt. Shasta region. No rain....

It seems Mt. Lions are the no.1 topic in town. One of the guys at the hardware store was telling me he had one in his driveway the other day. With the number of sightings, there might be more than a couple in the area. The fires might have driven some north, to this area. We are already overun with them anyway. I say live trap them, truck them to San Francisco and Los Angeles in the middle of the night and turn them loose downtown. This will make the people who think these are the cats they see in Disney movies happy. It will make the cats happy, as they will now have vast new hunting grounds.

People in the large cities get all excited when one of the wolf’s released in Oregon wander into the north part of the state. They think this great! The deer are already being wiped out by the Mt. Lions, might as well add another group of predators to the mix. There haven’t been Grizzly Bears in the state since the early 1900’s. Let’s bring them back! Once a few “progressives” are mauled, there will be a hell of an uproar.

Have a great day boys and be careful out there (watch for Grizzlies).

Good morning from Bethany beach DE. Last day here, packing up. Didn't do much with the weather so bad yesterday. Took a ride and explored Lewes and checked out the new boat ramp. Been 15 years or more since I'd been there. Much has changed. Got some beer and wings for lunch and hung out all afternoon and evening. It poured again last night. Going to be nice today. 62° already. Headed home about 11 am. Have a good one. More prayers for Sam.

Good morning gang

49 headed to 59,it has finally started....the rain. It rained all day yesterday. The first real soaking since spring. We could get drizzle every day now for weeks.

A lot of mixed emotions going on right now. My youngest is moving out and away. I helped her carry boxes downstairs and they are stacked in the living room. This afternoon we will load her car and I will help her drive to Minnesota. We’re leaving Monday morning. She will start at Mayo Clinic as an RN. Not bad for coming right out of school. That is the plus side, knowing she is off to a good start. There are so many coulda woulda shouldas in life, but know she is doing good as well as our other kid, she is a midhigh counselor. I have been happily married for 38 plus years. Life is good just, feeling quite and a lot of stuff going through my head.
Have a great Lords day

Sunday

Good morning all. 45 with light rain in Indy heading for 60. Usual Sunday morning for me. Breakfast with my old pal then Rural King to see all the stuff I might want but surely don't need. Every now and then I find something worth bringing home. May be trash bags, may be peach jalapeno jam, no telling. Fingered a Ruger Precision Rimfire this morning. Nice gun but it's in that surely don't need category. The only attraction is that it would scare the bejeebers out of some of them liberals 'cause it looks like one of those "military style weapons". (Backing away from the soapbox)

Stayed up for the World Series game last night. I predicted Boston would win the series in 5 games and that's a distinct possibility now. Go Sox!

Ran into a bunch of former PD coworkers yesterday at the funeral home. Dang, some of those guys got old! I need to go to a retirees luncheon just to make myself feel younger.

I'm going to try to find something productive to do even if it's loading ammo.
Have a good day.

The Mayo Clinic, congratulations to your Daughter and to you and your wife. I can relate to the feelings your having. Both our daughters struck out on their own at a young age. The oldest has a very good career and added a husband that likes to hunt and fish(a real plus to me!). Our youngest has really experienced lots of life, she did her undergraduate studies at U.C. Berkeley, her Masters at Harvard and is now finishing up her PHD at the University of Pennsylvania. During this time, she lived and studied in Germany, Italy and France.

I always told them they could do what they wanted, if they worked hard and set goals for themselves. They must have been listening. It makes my wife and I very proud. I must admit, the day they stepped out into the world was not easy on us. We still worry. We just have to trust that we have prepared them and let them know we love and support them. The cycle of life!

Have a safe trip and again, congratulations!

It's bright & sunny Sunday morning in Middle TN. Temp started in the mid-40's and will reach the low 70's later today. I spent yesterday directing a UBR match at Strategic Edge near Chapel Hill TN. It was a cool, breezy day with a light mist from time to time. Not too many shooters, but it was very competitive and all seemed to have a good time. I'm cleaning my rifle and unloading the trailer this morning. Need to be at the new range this afternoon to sign up some new members. Seems we've signed up 50-60 newbies since we started last week and they are trickling in. Most of those who were on the waiting list for years with the old club have either decided that we are too far away or have just lost interest. That's understandable, but we are expecting to backfill from folks who live closer to the range. We could use the influx of $$ sooner than later, but we anticipate enough new members to make up the difference at some point. The rifle range and shed are the major expenditures. The pistol bays and shotgun range shouldn't cost nearly as much, but they will consume $$. So far it seems like we're spending $$ like a drunken sailor. I thinking counting the property and the house we're closing in on $700,000.

G'day Y'all,
Rick
