14° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high temperature is to be up around 33° today. The next two or three days are to be about the same.

Yesterday was a quiet peaceful day and today hopefully will be the same. Church this morning and R&R the rest of the day.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning

26 degrees and no snow here. They’re saying that it is snowing in Lexington so it all seems to be going South of us. Did a little fishing yesterday. The first pond we went to had a layer of ice covering the surface so we tried a different place where they had stocked some trout last month. We had a good time and came away with 7 rainbows.

Anxious to see if a Charlie filled his tag yesterday or if he will be checking in from the woods again.

I think we might go try for some more trout when it warms up a little. Until then I plan to empty the coffee pot and fill the wood stove.

Make it a good day

Good morning, GoGo. It's 28 in Louisville, going to 43 today under partly cloudy skies. Fairly typical Kentucky winter day.

About all I accomplished yesterday was to watch the University of Kentucky lose to Seton Hall by 1 point and then University of Louisville lose to Indiana by 1 point. Both were really great games to watch, even if my teams fell short. There was only one bad call that I recall; toward the end of the U of L game an Indiana player got a rebound and floored a U of L player with a high elbow to the face. That one call likely didn't change the outcome.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there. If you enjoy college basketball the Lady Cards play the Lady Cats at 2 p.m. today and both are in the top 25 at this point. Should be a good one.

Good Sunday morning

13 here in NC Ohio with a 5mph wind that feels like 40!!! I have an old table saw that I want to set up to cut \ trim the black stove pipe. I need to engineer a guard to hold the 8in. round pipe, I can not muster enough strength too cut it with hand tools. Today I give Praise for a full cup of coffee and a full woodstove. Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

Good morning all.....slept in a little today and didn't make it to the shop until about 8. Hopefully we will have the last set of these parts done mid week and get a chance to get a few small jobs caught up.

I did see a few herds of deer this morning on the way in since it way daylight.....no coyotes though....wouldn't do me any good as I don't have a rifle in the truck. Maybe if I get out of here at a decent time today I can make a trip to the hog barns and see what's lurking around besides me. I got one of my other places I need to go set up at and check out too.

I should be rolling south on Thursday morning to go to Wilmore to pick up my daughter for Christmas break I think she has to be signed out of her dorm by 1pm after her finals. Hopefully traffic on I75 isn't stupid.....last trip we made pretty good time.

Well hope everyone has a good day and stays warm and dry!

Good morning folks. It's 26° here but 68° here in the house. No Carl, didn't fill any tags yesterday. Guy in the next blind shot 2 does. We saw 15 deer in the morning, but none close. 2 small bucks. Saw 9 more in the evening, no bucks. Could have shot some does but frankly, didn't feel like dragging or fooling with them. We were a LONG way from the truck. They put us in the best stand on the farm and I also didn't want to ruin our chances at a buck...but it didn't happen. Gun season is over. Have a week break and MD muzzleloader comes back in, then 2 days of gun in Jan. Maybe it'll happen then?

Made it home by 8:30 last night. Passed 2 accidents around Baltimore. Luckily didn't look too bad. Not sure what I'm going to get into today. Put guns away, maybe pull trail cams. A nap is definitely in order.

Have a good one.

32º and something is falling in the hollow. Weather app says it's snow but it looks like misting rain to me. No matter I have no business outside until mid afternoon when we will visit a daughter. She and her artist husband are hosting an open house/art show in their home. Should be interesting. Haven't been in the woods this season and no sure it will happen. Been busy with the new range/new members and not really motivated. A nephew gave me two, so I have meat and not interested in having to pay a taxidermist anyway. Might get there before the season's end just to watch.

G'day Y'all,

Morning gang, 32 here in SC KY, heading to 37 today. We have a very thin coat of ice on all things outdoor, but sleet is turning to rain and roads are clear, as people are whizzing by. Going to stay in the house mostly, don't need out on crutches in ice!!

Great afternoon folks,

In the predawn darkness we had 16°, big frost and a clear sky but that has given way to 29° and some cloud cover here near Halfway USA.

The ******* Limo got an oil change a few hundred miles early yesterday. It was above freezing, the sun was shining and the wind was nil. It's ready for our next road trip.

Firewood got moved into the house. Warmth is a good thing. Propane was delivered yesterday - nearly $600 worth. Fortunately that will last us 12 to 14 months. The wood stove does the bulk of the heating and it's mostly free - except for the gas, labor, wear & tear on equipment...

I was also assured the room we remodeled is now done. Done, meaning we don't have to poke any more holes in perfectly good drywall. All the pictures and shelves are hung anyway.

Hit the floor running this morning. DD & I ground and packaged 30lbs of Elk. After clean up of all that goes with that task we got started making and baking Christmas cookies. I have my outside chores caught up for today as well.
