32° here in Upstate NY this morning with the high temperature going up to about 35°. We have been under a winter advisory overnight with a chance of freezing rain but we haven't had any here. We now have a 90% chance of rain for today and then snow this evening and night.

Yesterday wasn't a bad day, I didn't feel great as I have a head cold though. We didn't go to the church Christmas party and I don't think we will go to church today either. I am for just staying home and resting all day.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning from Bartonville Texas, 38 and clear, high is 66. Nice day.
Church at the kids mega church then nothing planned for the rest of the day. Last night was a Christmas program at another mega church. I could not understand what was going on, sound was not clear so I slept through it.
George, get rested up, sounds like just that kind of wreath er there for resting.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

morning all. 15 and on the way to the mid 40s, may get warmer. No weather in sight for the next week, just sunny and dry, with cool nights and warm days for December.
After chores and chasing damcows and elk yesterday morning I came home and shot the creedmoor again. Finally got one group under 2.5 inches! One group out of the ten, three shot groups was 5/8 of a inch :D. Got some more rounds of that powder and weight loaded, may get to unload them today, hope they shoot the same!
Went calling yotes yesterday evening, killed one but before we made it to where we were going. It was out from my BILs' house when I stopped to go with him. Finally got away from the cows where I could shoot!
Couldn't sleep so here I am early. Will head out soon to do chores and get ready to town and church, and wally world too.
Have a great Lords' day, give Him praise and thanks for all we have. Prayers for the needy and our country.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Great morning all,

Ice fog with 32° and it's thick enough I can see the neighbor's lights here near Halfway USA. 44° with a "threat" of sunshine later.

The first oil change in Deb's Ford Edge was a pain in the butt. Had to remove a splash panel from under the engine to get at the drain plug. The plug was torqued down pretty hard. Hopefully it didn't damage the seal. It took a long time to fully drain too.

While the hen party was happening sporadically all day, I stayed out in the barn. The temp was comfortable enough to get at adding some additional lights to the rafters. 8 more keyless sockets got put up. I extended them from the existing lights so I did not have to add switches. Had just enough wire to complete the job. One keyless that was up already was broken & finished breaking when I tried to remove it. I used one of the new sockets to replace it. That left the job unfinished but the good news is I don't have to move cars, or 4 wheelers around to get to it. Even left the ladder up so I can attach the two wires and screw it in place. 3 minutes to finish after I buy another keyless.

Last task of the day was a second coat of poly on the stair treads. They are dry to the touch but we will wait until the end of the day to install them. I can do the fire place mantel at the same time. Then the house will be done...until Deb "finds" something else that needs to be done.

Morning folks. It's 39° here with wind and some leftover showers. Everything is totally saturated here. We've got to be WAY past the record for the year. Gun shop was swamped yesterday. Lot of folks getting nice presents. Didn't do much when I got home.

Woke up this morning to a mess. As I was finishing my coffee we noticed dog droppings on the carpet. Just a nugget or two. Then we see a wide stripe down the dogs back. Upon further inspection, somehow it got smeared on the doggie door flap and then spread like butter down the dog's back. So...I gotta wrestle with the dog here now to get him into the tub and hosed off. He does NOT like a bath. Wish me luck.

Have a good one.

Mornin boys...
52 here high on RUGER Mt this morning.
Foggy here this morning. Had a thunderstorm move through
yesterday evening. 1 strike hit close and shook the house hard.
Melissa had just went out on the carport and said it was close enough
that she thought she was struck. Don't know what they say we're getting today...
You all have a gooden today and GOD Bless...

40 degrees and headed to 50 today.
The new oven got a workout yesterday when my wife had friends over for a big cookie-baking party. I must have done a good job of keeping quiet in the reloading dungeon because they would reward me occasionally with one of their latest creations.
It rained pretty much all day and I got a lot done downstairs. I’ve realized I have too much stuff that I will never need or use. I think my 2019 resolution will be to purge the reloading room of unwanted items and replace them with wanted items.

Make it a good day. I think Dad and I are going to the pond shortly to catch some supper.

Well...surprisingly the dog did not fight me and he's fluffy and smells like a proper wet dog again. Everything is cleaned up again. The joys of dog ownership. Only problem is, he is 12 now and starting to have "issues". Had to put my last one down at 15 and I'm not ready to make that call again soon.

Good morning everyone....slept in until 9:30.this morning and sure dont feel bad about it! Headed off to see my grandmother in the nursing home then .maybe to the shop to finish the big cleanup I started yesterday. Had dinner with my mom last night for a little bit and that was about it.
Finally found the carburetor rebuild kit I bought for the El camino 3 years ago....the already crappy accelerator pump finally went dead and she stumbles hard when you get on the gas. That might get done today as well.

Well hope everyone has a good day!

Morning

Good morning all. It's a sunny 40 in Indy heading for a sunny-but-too-wet-and-muddy-for golf 50. Been to breakfast and Rural King then drove through the Ford dealership just to see if the 2019 Ranger has arrived yet. Just curious.

Last year I bought a fleet of remote control helicopters at RK. Everybody got one. I am amazed by these little things. You can steer 'em as well as moving 'em forward or backward, up and down. Right at 8" long with counter-rotating main rotors, a tail rotor, 2 electric motors, a rechargeable battery, a light in the nose, and the RC receiver. Comes with the controller which uses AA batteries and USB cable to charge the copter battery. Flies about a half hour on a charge but they are so light outdoor use is not recommended. They are assembled with tiny phillips-head screws, at least 25 of them! The kicker? Last year they were $9.99. Right now they are on sale for $6.99. https://www.ruralking.com/gyroscope...MIs6q7jN6k3wIV07jACh16bg8NEAQYAiABEgJktPD_BwE
I don't care where they are made, how can they be built and shipped to the USA and sold for that money? I shoulda' bought a dozen!

Only 8 more robbing days until Christmas, as we used to say at IPD.

Have a good'n.

Mornin' folks. It's in the low 50's and sunny in the hollow this morning and looks to be a nice day. Got up at 4:30 yesterday and drove with two other guys to Hoover AL and shot a UBR match. Didn't shoot well enough to win, but not bad either. I think neither rifle is the problem, but rather the shooter has misplaced his ability to concentrate and want for things to come to him. Something to work on this next season. My wife got up the same time as me and did a bird count on the west side of Nashville. We were both pretty tired last night. She gave up and went to bed about 8:00. But I had less sense and held out 'til 10. I am cleaning rifles this morning and have a new member orientation at the range this afternoon. We not not be open for business yet, but we can still take $$.

G'day Y'all,
Rick
