24° here in Upstate NY this morning under fairly clear skies. The high for today is to get up to about 34° with a 40% chance of flurries,

Today looks to be a quiet day with church this morning and then R&R the rest of the day. Yesterday I was busy much of the day but nothing hectic.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Sunday morning

32 here in NC Ohio with some sun later. Just watched The Best Damn Band in the Land load up and head to left sink hole out west, hope all the talking heads be quiet so we can see the band show at halftime. Working on putting a batch of wine into the fermenter today. Other than that be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

Good Sunday mor ning, GoGo. It's 30 in Louisville, going to 49 with sun. Big rain coming our way just after midnight. I forget how much we need to set a new record, but it's less than an inch. We'll see.

I cooked three slabs of baby back ribs and 5-6 pounds of country style ribs on my new square smoker yesterday. The results came out fine, but I'm still learning the peculiarities of the new smoker.

My daughter and granddaughter are driving all the way from Houston to Louisville tomorrow, probably in rain most of the way. If there's room on your prayer list, I'd appreciate you mentioning them. They've made this trip more than a few times, so I'm not horribly worried; still, accidents can happen.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Good morning folks. It's 39° here with clouds. Not sure what weather we'll get today. Yesterday we were a bit slow at the gun shop but business has been steady for the holiday season. After work, Sue and I went shopping for a gift for a friend and had dinner at Olive Garden. This morning I need to clean out the truck and load up a gun safe for delivery to my future son in law. We'll drop it off on the way to a party for my bud's 50th birthday. We will stay over at their house tonight and return for New Year's eve tomorrow. First I need coffee and a shower.

Have a good one folks.

Great morning folks,

28° with clouds and a fresh coating of snow here near Halfway USA.

Well, I started feeling better about noon so I got a few tasks off the list. Wood got moved, trim was fitted, Deb stained & poly'd it and by early evening it was on the wall. My barn needed some clean up and thing put away.

Debra has a hen party today so I am not sure what the lack of adult supervision will bring.

morning all. Starting off with a -8, don't think it will get very warm today, but it is clear out. Calling for snow tonight and tomorrow... we'll see.
Didn't do much yesterday, started off after chores with working on the air compressor at the farm shop. A line broke and the compressor ran most of the night. Got that fixed and the heat going. Pulled the water truck out so I could work on my pickup, but never got to that.
Saw three coyotes yesterday and couldn't hit any of them
Not going to church today, Gwyn still sick and doesn't want to give it to any one else. So I'm running slow this morning, hoping it will warm up some before I have to go chop ice for the damcows.
Better find some breakfast, have a great Lords' day. Remember the prayer requests. Give God thanks and praise for all we have.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good morning everyone.......slept in today as I stayed up late watching movies. I had planned on getting up early but when the alarm went off it got shut off. Probably end up at the shop shortly to try to finish a job.
I'll be working in the hog barns again this week repairing feeder so my rifle is going g to ride in the work truck with me in case I spot a coyote. I also might try to go hunting today as well to see if I can kill a coyote or two. A guy I know stopped by the shop Friday wanting me to weld something and said they were still thick at his place and no one ever hunts there. He's been asking for 2 years now and I just been too busy to get out there.

Well off to see what I can get into today....hope everyone has a good day!

31 degrees here this morning.
Had the whole family here last night and a good time was had by all. My son and his wife were the last ones to leave. They were still visiting with my wife and daughter when I went to bed at 2:30 ! I remember those days.

Stove is stoked and I’m on my second cup of coffee now. Got the big pot of beans started, using the bone from last week’s ham. A few folks are coming back today to help cleanup yesterday’s leftovers.
The stack of firewood near the door is dwindling so another load is already on the trailer waiting to be moved into place.
Heading back to the reloading bench for now.

Prayers up for Mike’s Daughter and Grandaughter traveling up from the Lone Star State.

GOOD morning from the sticks of Kentucky. It looks like a beautiful day is in store as the Sun is shining and it supposed to get nearly to 60° F today.
I am ON VACATION again as Judy Brown is in Kaliforinistan for a few days at the Pasadena Rose Parade and other BS Wimmen stuff. I am left alone with my Cats and Damcows.
I am expecting Skruske to Show up if the Hen party gets extended too long. Sounds like a good opportunity to put off a Fart Bomb in the house.

Like KFman said the rain is returning and the mud will get deeper in the fields. Mike Criswell is making Raspberry Wine....sounds good and i aint much on wine. Dean, I needed your help wrangling a calf yesterday to give it a shot. I just sneaked up behind it and jumped on top of it, dropping my vaccinating needle close by as I tackled it. I was able to waller it down, retrieve the needle and give the little guy a shot before he kicked my ass. Damcow farming at its best.
I suppose I better head out and see if I can remember where I parked my tractors as the cows are hungry.
Charlie S. All that sounded good till you mentioned Olive Garden. The Messican joint is mucho grande.

Mid 30's at sunrise in the hollow. Noon now and still sunny, warming up a little, prolly into the low 50's. I'm punching keys after cleaning a rifle and considering what to do this afternoon. Borrowed some dies to make a 22 PPC.100 short and may make a few cases. I picked up a barrel chambered for it and don't want it to go to waste. Will be on the road for a while tomorrow morning and will be doing the annual New Year's Day Bird Count with my wife. Weather forecast for that is better than most years. Sometimes it is bitter cold, bu this year we're expecting mild conditions in the 40's and 50's. The bad part is, the # of species will probably be low due to good weather. The best #s are when it is very cold and they have to feed all day.

G'day Y'all,
Rick
