27° here in Upstate NY this fine morning, I would say I have about 8" of snow on the ground here. Right now it isn't doing much of anything out but they say we will probably get about another 4" of snow today. The wind will pick up later this afternoon and tonight. The outlook for tomorrow is the high will be only about 5° and a bitter wind chill.

Yesterday was a quiet day, I didn't do much at all, today I will be spending my day clearing snow.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning from Trinity, it's 30 now, supposed to be maybe 50, more like 48 and sunny today. It's 41 inside the RV as we turn the heat off at night. Going to take a while to get warm in here this morning.

Church and lunch with the others in our group. Then take it easy the rest of the day.

Weather is winter everywhere, make the best of it, and have a great Sabbath,
Ken

Good Sunday morning

13 and 25mph winds = @#% COLD!! Everything is cancelled from Columbus North due to drifting snow. I attempted to stoke the GH fire at 2 AM didn't make it off the deck, snow too deep and the wind must have been 30+ then. Too much snow and cold for an old fart by himself. If I don't post tomorrow, someone grab a snow shovel and look for the biggest drift - I'll be inside!!! Be safe and Prayers for all thru this weather. Mike

morning all. 7 to start the Lords' day. Under a big ole full moon and stars! -8 over in town, hope it warms up to at least 0 before we get there for church and wally world.
Been awake for hours it seems. Took a fall yesterday while doing chores, darn frozen cow turds will get you everytime! Ground is kinda hard too  My back was hurting from working on the loader Friday but now it's worse.
Saw six coyotes yesterday around the farm and the neighbors. Only got a quick long running shot at one and missed... of course. Was going to go calling but the wind kicked up and stayed all day.
Better finish my bowl of Lucky Charms and go do chores.
Hope everyone is safe and warm thru this storm. We have one coming for Monday, we'll see if it gets here.
Have a great Lords' day. Prayers for our country and the hurting and ill. Give God praise and thanks for all we have.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Morning gang. It's 34° here with the storm past us. At one point we had 4" of snow on the ground, then it switched to rain and flattened everything. Have about 2" of wet, heavy stuff to plow. Waiting to hear if the gun drawing is on or off today. Off, I hope. Otherwise I'll need to hurry a bit to get dug out. Need to dig everything out before the deep freeze comes tonight, or what's left will be a rock. Poor deer are eating all my shrubs. Wish I had a bale of dean's alfalfa hay. Nobody bales it around here.

Yesterday I brought wood in before I went to work. Then after work I butchered. Have almost everything done. Sausage is made, loins are cut. Hind quarters are deboned. One will slice up for steak sandwiches, the other cured for chipped deer. Need to wrap and freeze everything. Kinda be nice if the drawing is canceled...did I say I really hope they cancel the drawing? Lol

Well I'm not going to rush my coffee. Hopefully they post something soon.

Have a good one

We seem to have a half inch of icey white frozen white stuff on the ground...or should I say MUD, which is Frozen now. Dean, I will be having the same problems and I hope I don't fall and tear up somethimg.
Wind. We got Wind out of the NW and the flag is standing straight ou looks like 20 mph to me.
DamSkruske. And his short sleeve shirt....probably out Neckid whizzing out the front door!!

I fastened Otis the Cat up in his house last night, got to go let him out soon. Man, the Damcows are humped up this morning. I have to feed them extra Hay to help them burn calories to stay warm.

Good morning, GoGo. Well, Snowmageddon was kind of a bust here in Louisville. We got 2" starting around 10:30. Most all that snow fell in the first couple of hours and it was really coming down at times. High winds starting around sundown or just before. The bigger deal for us right now are the temps. It's 15 right now, only going to 21, and dropping to 9 in the morning. Add even a 5mph breeze to that and it starts getting chilly pretty quick.

Charlie, looking at radar, I'd say it'll be another 6-8 hours before the front even reaches Gettysburg, that's why you haven't seen much. Same for Kermit, I suspect.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there. MPC, good decision not to get out in this by yourself unless it's absolutely necessary.

Good Sunday Morning from Missouri

12* and cloudy, on the way to maybe 30 here in the northern Ozarks. The big storm skirted around us pretty much, did get some ice on the ground and pavement. Wind was so strong that it could not stick to the trees and such.

Not much to say around here this morning, much the same for the last few weeks. Trying to pretend that I am Scott and redoing parts of the house. So far have worked on the two spare bedrooms. Taken the old popcorn sprayed on ceiling off and painted, put up crown mold and painted the walls. Today I plan on not doing anything.

Prayers to those in need and for this country. Our President needs all the prayers that we can send his way. One of these days they are going to find out that at the age of 4 he exposed himself to a 3 year old and will now make a big deal of it.

Have a great day and an even better week ahead. God bless!

Sunday

Good morning all. It's a breezy 9 in Indy heading for 16. Apparently the worst of the snow stayed north of us southsiders. We might have an inch on the driveway. It snowed fairly hard last night but the wind was up and blowing it around. Guess we dodged a bullet. Based on the church closings shown on the morning TV news north of Indy they must have been hit somewhat harder. The great January snow panic turned out to be pretty ho-hum for us. Gonna' be lots of eggs and milk go bad. McDonalds is open and so was the breakfast blind. Not going to fire up the snow blower but I did go through the carwash to get the fenderburgs off the truck on the way home. Don't like them melting in the garage. "That's all I have to say about that."

Have a good day.

Doug, about the same on the North side of Indy. It is 8F here with maybe 2 inches of snow, but the snow didn't start until about 4pm. I have about 1/4 inch of ice on everything, and the wind was pretty stiff. Another good day to stay in.

Morning Gents. Was lazy today and slow getting around. The storm has passed here too. Woke up today to sunshine and mid 20's temps. Suppose to be that way for a few days and then more rain coming in mid week. We'll roll out after while and go watch the Granddaughter compete at a gym meet. You'all have a good one!

25º and cloudy with near an inch of snow in the hollow. Prolly won't get to 30º today and I have little important to do, so I shouldn't need to be on the roads today. Forecast calls for a couple days of cold, back to rain for a day and then
seasonal stuff for a week or so. It's even possible the ground could dry just a smidge, but I'm not counting on it. I may actually settle in with a book for a part of the day and watch the birds at the feeders.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

Morning gang, 22 here headed to 26, with a low tonight of 12! We have an inch of snow, give or take, not much going on here today. Going to make a big ole pot of deer chili for supper tonight, having deer Salisbury steak left over from supper last night, for lunch today. The wife has a great recipe that is easy to make, and is darn tasty too!! She went out during a break in the monsoons and picked several heads of cabbage and a bushell basket full of Siberian kale and 3rd cuttings off the broccoli in our winter garden. When you cut the big heads of broccoli, the stalks will shoot off suckers, about 4" around, small heads of broccoli, 6-8 to the stalk, and you can continue to harvest them for several months. I planted the winter garden last week of August, and it is still producing. We have gotten 23 heads of broccoli, 20 heads of cabbage and16 heads of cauliflower with untold bags of assorted greens! You all have a good one, remember those in need of prayer, Buff out!
