9° here in Upstate NY this morning, a bit of snow on the ground this morning. They say the high temperature for the day will be up to 14°. They also say this may be the coldest Thanksgiving on record in the past 100yrs.

I was on the road all day yesterday fixing computers and I had a laptop here that I took care of. Today I plan on taking life easy all day, try to keep warm and stuff my face.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!! Have a Wonderful Day.

Well, this is it, the official beginning of the Great Holiday Eating Season. Good morning everyone, 39 and light clouds in Texas. All the family members are here for a great day of food and fellowship. My wife and her daughter have been cooking for two days. Turkey, of course, pecan pie, oh yum, and a lot more. Everyone here has a lot to be thankful for this year though I don't know that we'll take the time to here all their stories. But we know.
As for me personally I am thankful for the love of theord that gave his life that I may gain mine. I am thankful for for the lady He brought into my life after loosing my wife two years ago. I am thankful for for the opportunity to serve Him through the SOWER mission. And I am thankful for pecan pie.
I sincerely hope that you and your family will have a wonderful, blessed day.

Happy Thanksgiving morn, one and all. Very chilly start here in CT, (haven't looked at the temp yet but the windows are showing some condensation!) not going to get much better as the day goes along but regardless, the traditional family dinner will go on!
I'm thankful for too many things to list but for some reason, fond memories of those that are no longer with us seem to be dominating my thoughts over the last few days. So I guess the one thing I'll list is the fact that they were a part of my life and added so much to it.

I hope all of the GGVG family is able to find some good vittles to celebrate the day!

Ken

Edit to add: 6 degrees out, just stepped out and checked the thermometer......

Good Morning

Happy Thanksgiving Green boarders!!! Starting at 26 here in NC Ohio, much better than what George has to deal with. I am thankful for the Big Guy upstairs that's allowed me to look at the green side of sod this long, the Vets for our freedom, and most of all the people on this board that I call friends and have enjoyed their company at the matches. My first smoked turkey turned out great thanks to all the good advice I received. Prayers to those and country. Mike

Good Thanksgiving morning all. It’s 31 heading for mid 40s in Indy. Our regular Mon-Sat breakfast joint is closed so we’re meeting friends at the Sunday location. Lots to be thankful for this morning. This little corner of the internet and those who stalk it are included. Have a great day.

morning all. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
Starting off at 10 degrees and will make it to the mid 40s again. But the wind is going to blow thru the weekend. Very slight chance of snow tonight.
Probably won't get a chance to shoot the creedmoor with the wind blowing, but it's cleaned and ready to go.
Going to Gwyns' sisters for lunch today, will be good I'm sure!
Chores to be done this morning then take it easy. Planning a nap too :D
Thankful for so many things, the Lord has blessed me and my family soooo much it's impossible to list it all. But His salvation has to be on the top of the list!
Have a great day and eat all you want! You can work it off tomorrow
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good morning all and Happy Thanksgiving to all ky green board family! It is a chilly 23° here and I didn't have to step outside to see it. Ken ole pal, you need to get yourself one of those fancy new thermometers that has a remote sensor outside and a base unit inside where it's warm. ;) The heat pump switched to aux (propane) heat last night. First time this year. Boy, I am really impressed with the new furnace/heat pump. The house is noticeably warmer throughout and it's much more efficient and cheaper to run.

I am thankful to have all our family home for the holiday. Tyler showed up late last night. Glad he had safe passage on I-95. My daughter and granddaughter will be up this afternoon to have dinner at my cousin's house. We'll eat too much I'm sure. I'm also thankful for all our troops serving away from home, and their families who are home without them. Keep them safe.

Deer season is almost upon us. I saw 2 bucks here in the yard this morning already. Got mom's stand ready yesterday afternoon and cut some shooting lanes. Need to stop by my in law's today and pick up some plexiglass. Will cut to fit the deer blinds in MD. It'll make a big difference with windows closed uo and a heater inside. Heading down tomorrow afternoon. Will hunt a few days and be back Monday for the PA opener.

Well I better get moving. Prayers sent.

Good morning everyone and Happy Thanksgiving. I got up about 5:30 this morning and got ready and went and sit in the treestand.....I made it until about 9:15 before I couldn't take my toes being so cold. Didn't see a damn thing but noisy ass squirrels. Getting ready to head to family's for dinner and they got some good area to hunt so I might set up and call later too.

Hope everyone stays safe and has a good weekend!

29º in the hollow at sunrise, going to the upper 50's today with lots of sunshine. Yesterday afternoon I visited my shooting house for the first time since January. To my dismay I found that a raccoon had managed to climb up the corner wall and gnaw it's way inside and leave me quite a mess to clean up. At first I was totally puzzled as I climbed through the trapdoor to find insulation, down from an old sleeping bag and a large pile of poop in one corner. I could not understand how a coyote could have climbed through the trap door and got it back in place. Later, outside I saw the damage to the corner of the eave. Fortunately I had taken a broom along and most all the trash and poop got removed. I'll still need to take some paper towels and some kind of cleaner to clean up the chairs. But it could have been much worse. Not sure when I'll use it, but I'll get there a few times between now and the 2nd W/E in January.

We'll spend the afternoon with one of my daughters and her in laws, then the whole family will be here at our house tomorrow. I'll have to ration myself or I won't have any pants that will fit.

G'day Y'all

Rick

Morning gang, happy Thanksgiving to all! I have a lot to be thankful for, especially the stuff I have been thru the last year and come out still breathing, getting around and even being able to hunt, all by the grace of God! I am very thankful for the tight knit community we have on this board, even though we have issues, this board is what we make of it! I consider you all my friends, even though I have never met many of you in person, but have benefited from your prayers! You all have a good day, Buff out!

A glorious Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. I have a lot to be thankful for everyday. It is absolutely wonderful to have a special day, like today, to really focus on all of the abundance that God has provided for us and all the blessings large and small that he has bestowed upon us. Remember to thank God for all those gifts, before we ask for more.
I am especially thankful for my friends and family and our good health.
