I hope a good company ends up with Savage and keeps it going and improves their products. I have owned a couple of their rifles over the years and they are a good rifle.

I have a couple of older Savage rifles

I have a couple of the Savages when they were mostly wood and blued steel. I have looked at a couple of their Plastic guns and they don't trip my trigger. I hope ANYONE that buys them will get back to more traditional guns. I will say the Accu trigger is a nice improvement over the Nasty triggers that they had on older guns.
Like the other remarks I think it is foolish of Vista to be getting rid of an old name company, that most everyone knows.

Rick, I agree with all your comments, my Savage rifles were the same as yours. I personally have no use for the Plastic stocks all the manufacturers are putting on rifles these days. I used Timney triggers on mine the same as I do with Remington's and Rugers.
