As the new year approaches, a man's thoughts begin to stray to the dog towns, it seems. In the last two weeks, I have gone through the ammo cabinet to make sure I have an adequate supply. Just this morning, I emailed our outfitter to get penciled-in on their calendar. At dinner this evening p dogs and dates were a topic of conversation. Now, I find related threads have been started and/or resurrected on the topic. Can "the season" be far away? :D

Confirmed my p-dog dates also, but it all depends on the p-dogs. From the first time I see them out till they freeze up and won't come out any more!:D
GOD BLESS. Dean
Won't come out anymore? Some of my favorite memories are of splattering P-dogs on snow - shot 'em all year round when I lived in Franktown and Bailey CO.

PDs on snow/winter:

  • Be patient
  • Be accurate (often allowed only one shot before they dive into their hole!)

I was thinking about blasting Pdogs quite a bit the other day.... I was trying...to organize my ammo storage area. Hard to do when I have I think 9 ammo boxes full of loaded ammo. I probably have enough for 2 more trips depending on the shooting. Hopefully I get to go again this year. The 20Tac AR will rid me of ammo pretty quickly I bet.
