59° here in Upstate NY this morning under overcast skies along wtith fog. The high temperature for today will be getting up to about 70°, it will be a partly sunny day after the fog gets burn't off. We are to have a calm wind and no rain in the forecast.

Well I had to work on computers all day yesterday and I was looking forward to going hunting today. On my afternoon job at a Monastery ran by three sisters one of the sister's managed to back into my car. Put a nice dent in my driver side back door and scraped the hell out of it. So today I guess I will have to get ahold of my insurance company, give them her information and get the process started for getting my car fixed.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning from Waseca, it's 62, cloudy and 72 later. Not supposed to rain.
Yesterday was more trips to the donation store. More today. It feels good getting rid of a lot of unnecessary stuff. The computer continues to slowly restore files, about 1000 per day, 7000 to go.
I should slip out to the range this morning.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

morning all. 35 with mid 60s today, chance of rain/snow mix for Sunday.
Really hope to get hay baled today, was still wet yesterday, but just in spots...maybe today.
Finished up the sprinkler draining and well meter reading yesterday, also worked on one of the loaders and fixed a
oil leak. Always a leak somewhere on one of the five loaders we have!
Still haven't had a chance to check out the freebie rifle, but did spray it down with some spray lube to loosen up things a bit.
Better get, have a great day and be safe and healthy. Prayers for those with issues and our country.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Great morning folks,

48° with a clear star lit sky her near Little Bay De Noc, just south of Rapid River Michigan.

Deb & I took a leisurely drive yesterday. We only covered about 100 miles. A stop along Lake Superior to walk the beach for a bit then on to AuTrain Lake. Much to our disappointment the USFS has already closed up the large campground for the season. As I've said for a long time our department of interior is treating humans as an invasive species as they seem to prevent the use of their imperial properties. We traveled south to here on the east shore of the bay & are "privileged" to be able to stay the night at this campground. Although this one closes on October 8th.

We will head back below the bridge today. Our plan is to stop by old hunting partner's place on the way through.

Good morning folks. It's 64 headed to 74 and cloudy, may get some rain. Seems to be a common forecast here in the NE. Yesterday we had a misty rain most of the morning but it knocked off after lunch. I decided to hunt a farm I've hunted for awhile, but not been to this year. Well, I got there 5 minutes too late, another hunter was already there, headed to a spot near my stand. I should have went somewhere else, but I'm a hard head. I took my climber and went to the other side of the farm. Haven't been in there for quite some time. The ash trees I used to climb were either down or dead. Everything was way too open. I got up a walnut tree about 12 feet, that had some small oak scrub around it. I stayed low to stay in the tree cover. Ended up seeing 4 does and 4 fawns. There's a reason I call this spot "the Nursery". Always holds 5-10 deer, never any bucks, unless the rut is on. I should have known. Anyway, I got back to the truck, set my climbing stand down behind the truck and put my bow and stuff in the truck...then proceeded to BACK OVER my climbing stand.🤦‍♂️It's pretty much FUBAR. I have 2 other Summit stands so I'm good, just PO'd at myself. Now I have to dig them out of the shed and get one ready for the weekend.

Scott, I looked at potential stops along our route to SD and also found most of the campgrounds are closing in the next week or two. I did find, on that site you gave me, some free spots to overnight. Couple casino parking lots around Davenport IA look promising. Whatever I do, I'm not going to stay over in IL. I'll either stop at Doug or Shane's or push thru until I get in the clear in Iowa.

Well, I guess I better get busy. I need to sit an do my timesheet for yesterday. I was here all day, had a few meetings, but can't remember what else I did. CRS. Oh well. I'll make something up I guess.

Prayers sent for Ellis and others in need. Have a good one.

Charlie

Its 66 in western Ky. going to 77 w/overcast skies. 20 percent chance of rain.
Continuing garage cleaning today. Missed or cant find any evidence of a hit
on an Armadillo last night in the front yard. Its getting bad when you cant
make a 40yd kill w/00 buck in a turkey gun. If you don't have one wrecking your yard, consider your self fortunate. Y'all have a goodun. LDS

I forgot to mention yesterday, we got a shipment of POWDER in Tues. A real shipment, over 100 pounds of various IMR and Alliant powders. I saw an 8lb keg of H335 and put my name on it! Hopefully the knuckleheads don't put it out and it sells before I get there today.

Charlie, powder is showing up a bit on line but Primers are the big Snag. Congratulations Shane on that box full.
Francisco, that TAC powder I got from you seems to be perfect in Function and Performance in AR 15s. Very accurate performance with that load of 50 grain Sintered Frangible bullets I got very cheap.. may get more at that price.

Low 60's with clouds in the hollow, been a cool, cloudy, rainy week. I had thought we were done with the 80's but the next few days are forecast with high's in the low 80's. Oh well, it sure beats ice and temps in the teens and lower. Hopefully the busy part of my week has passed. We've taken two short vacations in the past month or so and both times my retail orders have slowed until I've returned, only to double up. Don't know how that worked, but it worked well for me. I have hopes of loading some test/fire form ammo for a new barrel and again, hopefully getting to the range tomorrow for some smoke therapy. The most important thing for today is getting my van, with well past 425,000 miles over to a garage for brakes. The shop I've used for years closed and the owner went, who knows where. He won't answer his cell or reply to texts, so I'm auditioning a new one.

G'day Y'all,
"Lets go Brandon"

Morning Everyone!

Its 63º and hazy here headed for the mid 80's.

Yesterday my running buddy and I took the trailer and drove down to Deer camp to pick up a quick hitch and a disc that I had been leaving down there. Its 2 hours down there each way so it burned up most of the day. I've got my tractor sold along with one bush hog and maybe my trailer. I'm going to miss the tractor but it was getting where I was having trouble getting in and out of it. I guess it was time.

My Neurologist called yesterday and after reviewing the results of my MRI wants me to make an appointment to discuss them. This is a little out of norm. I know that the disease is progressing so I guess we'll see what She has to say.

My running buddy is off to the lake today and the Wife and I have the next few days to ourselves. Not sure what we'll get into but we started by sleeping late. My Mom gave my Wife a ring a few days ago that needs to be resized so a visit to the jewelry store is possible. She has been wanting to get some of Her stuff appraised anyway. Traditionally I have given her something pretty nice for every 5th anniversary that She has put up with me and it has added up over the years.

Prayers offered for those with health problems, our Country and any others in need.

Well, enough rambling. Y'all have a good one.

Good morning everyone....nice and cool again so far. Got in the shop a little later than normal and got some pins welded up and now I don't have too much going on. I may duck and run right back out here real soon and try to get some other things done that get put off.
My coyote hunting buddies are heading out to Colorado the end of the month for a Elk hunt and maybe bear so we're supposed to get out and do some shooting this weekend....I warned him to if he's paying that much for tag he better get some trigger time in before he heads out.
Good to hear your getting some stuff in at the store Charlie....I hope that means things are letting up a little. 9mm and 22lr and .223 and some .308 been at the Rural King for a while and looks like they took down the limit signs. THey also had some 7-08 and a few boxes of 270.
Charlie we got plenty of room at the shop to park your camper over night with some power if you need it as well as water.

Hope everyone has a good day and stays safe!

Doug…I figured it out about your new dog.
Guys, I know how you feel about the cows leaving. We decided to sell all of ours a few years ago Because of drought. NO GRASS. I sure missed them. After started getting some rains and letting grass rest a couple of years, we slowly started getting back in. Started buying 500# heifers and growing them and breeding them To LWB’s AI. It took a while to build back close to where we were at. Now things are rocking and rolling again. I have to give a lot of credit to DIL for making this happen. Son’s #1 job is hunting lodge and DIL is cattle operation. She was teaching school and they decided to give up the teaching career for cattle. And….she runs it s a business. If it don’t work, it leaves. It sure makes for a lot of long nights when you are calving out 80-100 head of first calf heifers.
Not sure how hunting is going down the hill. I’ve been “off my feed” for 2-3 days….but, feel a little better today. May try to make it down there today some time. I did make a “town run” yesterday for more supplies for them, but was a little hesitant to go to the lodge, so they came and got the supplies at my house. Still trying to get around to all the wheat fields to check on them. They are calling for chance of rain here starting Sunday.

Prayers for our Country, Israel, and all Y’all.
