24° here in Upstate NY this morning under fair skies, the high temperature for today will be getting ujp to about 46°. It will be cloudy but gradually turn sunny with a mild wind of 5 to 8mph.

I worked here at home yesterday, got the driveway and around the house cleared out of the snow. It runed off sunny and melted it also in the afternoon, but the wind was still farly fierce. Today I will have to be on the road for a time, but I won't mind. I did turn down one job yesterday that I didn't like the sound of.

Prayers for all that need them.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning from NC Ohio 32 going to 42 should be dry till tonight. Need to get ready for the housekeeper tomorrow, that has worked out well for me so far. I was getting a warning light that a brake light was out. Took the truck in and found out it was the small cargo light on the backside of the cab. $27 later and on my way in 15 min. Sure beats replacing the real brake light that costs 200+. So much to get done with gardening and some shooting that will come with warmer weather. Be safe my friends Prayers to all and country. Good morning from Waseca where it's cloudy and 40, windy, rain and snow for the day. Yippee.
Errands this morning, then the post op for my wife. All is well with her shoulder, she has been nearly pain free with good use of her arm.
This evening we are taking her oldest son out for dinner and his birthday. He is a quiet person, though he seems to be doing well since loosing his wife last fall.
Hope everyone has a great Thursday,
Ken

Good Morning!

Here in SC PA we started the day at 37 degrees. High is supposed to shoot up to 58 and the wind has finally died down. Should be a nice sunny day. Rode my motorcycle to work and it was chilly. The ride home should be nice though!

I called the machinist and the screws I need for the scope rings are in. He said he was able to fix them. Apparently the screw heads were too big to fit in the rings. He turned them down on a lathe and now they should be perfect. Not sure what he will want for doing that. Glad I left one of the rings with him or I would have been making another trip when they didn't fit!

My buddy down in South Carolina nailed a hog last night. Not a real big one. Looked to be a large shoat. He mainly just wanted to keep the lady in charge of the property happy and show her he's doing his job. He is saving the big hogs for me when I come down, which is great. I would love to get a huge boar with big cutters to mount and put on the wall! The owner of Selmark Corporation (owners of Pulsar, Sightmark, etc.) told us he should have our new thermals in about a week. After that they will ship both of them to my buddy in SC. When that happens I'll talk to my supervisors about taking some time off and going hunting. Shouldn't be a problem as we're slow this time of year. I'll get the new thermal mounted on my new 350 Legend upper and hopefully give them both a good test. If everything goes right I should be able to record the hunts and save the video, then share with anyone who is interested. I don't know much about video but my buddy does, so hopefully he can school me on that. Should be neat to share the hunt with my Dad!

He's got a bunch of raccoons that need dealt with too, as they're eating his corn and climbing all over his feeders. I'm getting a quick release mount along with the thermal so I can pop it off the 350 and put it on my 22 lr upper with the suppressor. The new thermal has the capability of retaining 7 different zeroes, so you can sight it in for several guns. It would be great to get footage of nailing both raccoons and hogs! For the raccoons I'll use CCI Standard Velocity ammo that I've hollowpointed in my Waltz die. This will be extremely quiet through the suppressor and hopefully not spook any hogs that may be in the area. I'm definitely looking forward to this next trip!

Today should be a good day. Not much planned, just picking up the screws after work and then heading home. I'll take care of the rifle and then I have dishes to wash. I need to do a little cooking too so I'll have something to bring for lunch tomorrow. Make it a great day everybody!

Morning Everyone!

Its 52º and cloudy here headed for the upper 50's with a lite Southern wind. They are calling for rain to move in this afternoon with chances of T'storms through tonight with up to an inch of rain possible.

Yesterday was a slow day, kind of like the calm before the storm. Literally! The Wife and I watched the Razorbacks play and win again yesterday afternoon.

The rest of the week looks like I'll be busy. We'll leave out in a few to take the Wife to another Doctor's appointment so I'll be sitting in the car for a few hours. And we'll eat breakfast out someplace. If it doesn't get rained out the oldest Grandson opens their high school baseball season this afternoon.

Prayers offered for those in need and for our Country.

Y'all have a good one.

Morning folks. Same weather here as EC, gonna be a nice day, except that I have to work two jobs today. Last night I got the boat jacked up and wheels pulled off. Getting new tires. I'll do 2 today and 2 tomorrow...hopefully. I told him to order them last week. Checked with him last night. He didn't. Said he'd have them today. I didn't do much else last night. Tried to relax. Still need to catch up with lost sleep last weekend. Well, we're almost over the hump here at work. The big deadline was yesterday for 3 projects. Two are pretty good, still wrapping one up. Things will slow down to normal again. I better get busy for now though. Prayers offered. Have a good one!

Good morning all. It’s 38 in Indy and should be a little more tolerable by the time I get to the golf course. Really nice by the time we finish. Who’s scheduling this?

The ammo factory (AKA dungeon) is open for production. The 9mm assembly line is the only one running but there’s progress.

Off to scatter golf seeds. Have a good day.

With 33 degrees and high of 51 expected, I guess it’s nearly spring and add rain into the equation and we’ve turned the corner. A little rain on your golf seeds should help them grow. Good luck finding them in the 3 or 4 inches of snow and ice on the ground though, Doug, Quilting is occupying my days right now. And when Jan’s quilting, I’m helping. This will pass and it will be time to break out the 30BR for another season.

34 in the hollow on the way to a sunny 67. I'm about to be out the door on the way to a skin doctor appointment. The only other obligation today is lunch with the boys.

G'day Y'all,

GM from the busy metropolitan area of Celina, TN where I am doing my best @lightman imitation of sitting waiting for Dr D. to perform some Magic on Judy Brown. She may come out Toothless, who knows.

It has been closed due to a Fire last July 4...yeah, Fireworks. I think their Fried Fish is second to none...but I don't know much.
I slung out a ball of Hay for cows before we departed, and will finish up this afternoon.
@was skruske and DD are camping in Georgia and he sent me this photo of them and his new camper.

31° with a sunny 60° later. I am going to enjoy the nice weather. We are way over with our snow pack in the mountains, which meant a lot of rain here.
The other day when my friend Phil sent the picture of the bull trout I asked him where his was. He told me it was in the lake. Last night he sent me this picture. I asked him if his brother just let him take pictures of the trout or if he had to pay him before he got to hold it. 😂

Good morning to all.
Rereading and catching up on the A.M. posts. Scott, not in the campground till Sun? Or did l misread?
Grabbed a haircut yday, zipped home for a shower then hardware store for some cable ties to tidy up the grapple hoses, then picked up a geezer for the monthly Bridge game. This guy has 10 yrs on me. By the time we're at the 3rd table, he likes to start telling stories whether he is dummy or not. Hard to concentrate. Bridge is more or less the Chess of card games. It's hard to ratchet jaw and keep track.
Finished mid pack. Makes sense as my cards were sub par. 20 hands dealt, 18 played and only had opening count 4x. Played follow the lead allll afternoon.
Today I'll drop the bucket and attach the grapple. I made a deal w the neighbor mechanic who cuts wood outta Dinah's woods. He will do the elex hookup and I'll cut him a pickup load. He worked for the Kubota dealer for several years...... l can saw chunks, grab and plunk in the truck a lot faster than l can the simple elex work and have more fun at it along the way.
Dinah is off to a Home n Garden show at Indy w a bud and a Sis. Hard telling what idea(s) she will drag home. Groan
There is 3' of snow built up at the house where Tony Boyer's stuff is. Maybe end of April pick up? I hope that will be no more than a light adventure, not an ordeal. Tony didn't care for tuners. His preferred match bbls were ones that would shoot 3 loads that were just under and over 30 grains. I'm assuming VV133. Interesting approach. He sure made it work for him.
Supposed to hit 60 today. Will open the big shop door and do the bucket drop and not lose too much heat.
Neighbors have a female Great Pyr and something else mix abt half grown that roams. It has taken me nearly 6 wks for her to to trust. Her running bud looks like a shortened Beagle w more terrier in him. Yday l had the Mule by the shop and she came barking. She always barks and barks. Got that cut way back the last week or so. Also taking the treats in a gentle manner - that took a while. Anyway, a warm day, l just layed down next to the Mule, no treats on me and she ended up down w me. She eventually showed me her belly, stayed relaxed, paw or head on my arm...... l like the pooches too. I finally got up after 15 or more minutes. May do a repeat today. She comes to my whistle.

Noon time check in for me today. Just couldn't get going as normal this morning after a grueling day of cleanup yesterday. No "scream followed by a thump" experiences while cleaning off the roof yesterday, thankfully. Sun was melting it down to bare shingle right behind me for once ,had good footing the whole time.
But folks, I moved a LOT of snow yesterday, both by shovel and by blower as well as the truck. Had to push the blower most of the time as it would not or could not stay down on the bottom of the snowpack, kept riding up and tipping back. Even in the areas I blew clean on Tuesday. Worked my tail off with it but it still beat shoveling by hand. No breakdowns of equipment, just slow going due to soft ground and heavy, heavy snow. We ended up with about 15" or so, most of it the heavy wet type. PLEASE be the last one of the season.............
Beyond that, I'm alive but stiff and sore, hernia repair was not a problem and I'm sure I'll recover enough to bitch about stuff right quick.
Looks like most of us have another day on the correct side of the turf; we're all glad for that, I'm sure.

morning all. Was 34 but now 22 with wind chill of 7 and a full white out blizzard out there.
Slept in this morning, Gwyn took a couple days off and we were trying to find the lost dark hours that the time change stole from us.
Cows checked, only one new one in the bunch I watch... so far, sure the storm will bring more. Two new ones in the heifer pen this morning.
Rest of the chores done for now, heat turned up in the farm shop so I can hide there and pretend to be working on a tractor.
About time to go check the cows and get their water running , have a good day. Prayers for those with health issues and others too.
GOD BLESS. Dean
