64° here in Upstate NY this with some rain, it rained off on and all day yesterday and it rained during the night also. We have a 40% of some more today with the high temperature going up to about 75°.

Another busy day planned for today about the same as it has been for the past two days. I got home about 5:30PM yesterday and by the time I had supper and watched the news I was about ready for bed.

We should have our three new benches built for our new shooting pavilions by the weekend. That will finish that project up and it will be a great improvement.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning from Waseca, it's 61 and clear, no clouds, no rain, yipeee.
High is 82, so it's getting hotter towards the weekend. Means I nee to chase the lawnmower around the yard this morning, then wash the truck, then help wife plant her catnip plant.
But, first I am going to grab the camera and take a walk around Clear Lake to watch the breaking dawn. From what I can see out my front window the early dawn over the lake is quite pretty.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

morning all from a very smoke filled south-central Colorado. 51 and breezy, high 80s again today.
New forest fire started less than 10 miles from the house yesterday afternoon, we stood in the yard last night and watched as the flames made their way up several ridges on the mountain. Not sure if they closed La Veta pass or not but the smoke had to be really bad up there. Makes your eyes burn here at the house this morning. Prayers for the firefighters and all the folks that have homes in that area.
Worked on sprinklers, boss mans' baler and the big blue tractor yesterday. More of the same today. Dentist appt late this afternoon.
Time to get moving, have a good day.
GOD BLESS. Dean

good morning gang. It's 73º here and wet. It was supposed to rain most of the day yesterday, but we only had a few scattered showers thru the day, but it DUMPED last night a few times. CTKen's getting it now. I managed to get some things on the boat ready for fishing Saturday. Installed 2 cup holders, fixed a boat hook, greased the wheel bearings. I also found a nest of Wrens in the trailer tongue. There's at least 5 hatchlings in there. I really don't want to kill them, but it's inevitable. As soon as I pull away from momma, they're good as dead. Don't know if I could move them to a new nest or not? :( Greyfox, any ideas? I think mom has a wren house unoccupied with a nest in it. I could set it on the tongue, move the young into it, plug the tongue up and see if she finds them. Then just move the house tomorrow evening off the pavement next to the boat.

Well, I guess I better get busy. Have a good one.

Charlie

PS...got a message from Tyler the other day from Qatar. He said the temps are near 110º at night with low's in the 90's at night. He also said he's getting a nice, tax free re-inlistment bonus, and he's being re-stationed in CO Springs. Guess we'll have to start saving up to go visit him. Maybe stop by and help Dean out with those sprinklers and coyotes too?;)

Exceptionally great morning,

65° some humidity because the day long showers yesterday will make things a bit sticky later here near Halfway USA. 85° with sunshine for most of the day.

The ******* Limo is shining bright and standing tall...and long. Whoowheee, that was a lot of work. When I crawled out from under it I was wondering if I got as much paint & undercoating on me as the bottom of the truck.

Been at it already this morning. The county came by yesterday during a heavy down pour to mow the ditches. The amateur running the weighted tractor got too far over and crushed the ditch bank. It left a pretty damn deep rut. I have been trying to pound it back in shape with a tamp but progress is slow. Making it worse, the guy didn't even mow what needed attention...typical of the road crews in this county...lazy asses anyway.

Next township over has their annual rummage sale weekend. Good day to go play some & people watch and bargain hunt.

around 5:30 it was in the mid 70's and already 81º in the hollow. Some rain around sunset last night had brought the rain gauge up to nearly 3" in a couple of days. It has cooled things just a bit but also made the humidity near 100%.
I'm spending as much time as practical inside for the next few, but will need to deal with the grass, so that will happen late in the day. Probably will make some time to fill some 20 Vartarg cases at some point today.

G'day Y'all,

Good morning everyone...at the shop welding SS cones....that's going to be non stop for about 3-4 weeks I think. Worked on steel dump trailer yesterday as well and had to make a run to Indy for welding gas refills.

I mowed the grass last night finally and then hit the garage to do some reloading....got what 204R brass loaded up and the last bit of my 20Tac loaded. I still need to do a little work on a few rifles....scope swapping here and there. I also need to get my swivel bench finished up...its not far off just need to get on it.

I also seen Cabela's has Rem700's on sale with a varmint weight barrel for $399.

Have a good day!

Well, I borrowed a birdhouse with a nest in it already from mom. Moved SEVEN wren chicks from the trailer nest into the house and hung the house from the hitch, right next to where the nest was. Put my trailer plug into the hole where the nest was and went inside. Looked out the window not 2 minutes later and the pair was there, trying to get into the old nest. Climbing all over the new birdhouse. Finally one went inside. I'll let them settle in today and tomorrow. When I get home tomorrow night I'll move the house to a post about 6 feet away, so I can get the boat out. It just might work!

Don't tell nobody though...my "stone cold killer" status might be jeopardized.;)

Tarcila and the other bird watchers will be proud of you Charlie.
Actually, I hate to see the little guys like that starve to death or wind up as Cat Food. No telling how many young blackbirds I ground up with my hay cutter this year, you see then and just go on cutting, you can't stop and rescue birds.
Maybe I am losing my man card if I every had one too....guess I lost it when I brought Bouncer Kat home with me anyway.
That being said, I shot a barn groundhog at 15 feet yesterday. I zipped around the barn on my Polaris Ranger....got between him and the barn and it surprised him so bad he just stood there. Just Pointed the AR 15 at him and snapped one off. Ugly.

Good Afternoon to y'all, I have been cleaning house and getting ready to mow the yard. VACATION is about to end in a couple hours...JB is tween Knoxvegas and here.

Coyote George father had a stroke yesterday. I have no details yet.
