54° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high temperature is to be about 77° today. We had another beautiful day yesterday, today and tomorrow are supposed to be about the same.

Fairly peaceful day yesterday, busy as usual but that is what I enjoy. Today should be the same way.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning, it's a nice 72 in Waseca, going to 88 for the day.
Yesterday I drove down to Iowa Falls and loaded the truck full of reloading tools and components. I got about half of it so another trip is in order. Once I get it all then I have to sort it and sell it. There are 30 containers of powder alone, so you get the scope of this project.

Today is unload the truck and try not to work so hard that I am exhausted.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Great morning all,

57°, mostly clear sky but some high clouds making a show here near Halfway USA. High to day in the mid 80's.

Zac & family headed south yesterday about noon. Word is they waved as they went by Renfro Valley & spent the night in London. They are planning on sight seeing in North Carolina.

Wheat harvest in the area is in full swing. Lots of acres of white & red heading to the elevators.

Playing dump truck today with Corey & Mike. Me & the ******* Limo will be hauling a dump trailer, Mike too. Corey is the loader. Those two found a fellow who dug a pond & wants the spoils hauled away. Free dirt is good dirt. With three of us working it will make the process much more efficient.

Speaking of the ******* Limo. It is getting a new set of tires later this afternoon. I found a cut in the right front and the back 4 tires are 3/4 worn down. I am not risking a blow up while hauling everything to Montana & Wyoming. $1300 worth of Firestone Steel-Tex will buy a lot of miles & peace of mind.

PS- don't ever waste your money on Faulkin tires. Michelin, Firestone or Goodyear are worth the price.

Good morning, GoGo. It's 69 in Louisville, going to 89. The weather guessers say this is the best day we're likely to have this week as temps return into the 90s Friday through Sunday. Yesterday it got to 90, but felt a lot hotter.

Made a run to Sam's Club yesterday to pick up three items and came home $273 poorer after spotting deals I couldn't pass up. If you or your grandkids eat a lot of peanut butter, my Sam's had a two-pack of 40oz JIF jars for about $7.50, which is $2 off their normal price. There's no comparison between that price and what I'd pay at Kroger. I also bought some country style ribs and pork loin, all of which went on the smoker when I got home. Turned out pretty good.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Good morning gents and gentettes. It’s 65 heading for 87 in Indy. My brother and I went to the cemetery yesterday and think we’ve covered all the surprises. Mom and dad “prepaid” for their services and thought it was all covered. They were mislead a little.

Gonna’ start cleaning out garage storage today. If I haven’t seen it for a year and it doesn’t have a power cord, it’s going in the trash.

Have a good day.

good morning folks. It's 62º here with sunshine and high humidity. It's going to push into the 90's here today and thru the weekend as well. Dog days of summer. I didn't get the ole widow neighbor mowed last night. My buddy called and needed a sub for his golf league. Well, at least he had a body there to fill the spot. Worst golf I have played in over 30 years. Sewed a LOT of golf seeds. Couldn't do anything right off the tee or fairway. He won't be calling me to sub again anytime soon.

Well, I guess I better get busy. Have a good one.

late morning all. 53 and cloudy here, 80 for a high later.
Got home right at sundown from our trip for a funeral. Had a good visit with cousins that I only see every ten years or more.
Running late this morning, slept in, Gwyn has a couple days off :).
Hope not much fell apart around the farm yesterday... but!
Have to make a trip to town to give blood and pickup some parts. Will take most of the morning.
Have a great day and be safe.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Doug Roberts, Captain Jesse said tell you he did play a round of Golfs at St. Andrews? In Scotland where Golfs was invented? He shot an 81 and said that wasn't bad for someone who never gets to play any.
I saw some photos and the course looked kinds rough to me in the one photo. But I don't know but he was happy.

I am late here, the internet was down and I had to call Skruske to get it back on again at 3am. He he.
I have sprayed another 300 gallons of 2 4 D this morning and that totals 900 gallons. The Irionweeds are curling up so far so good. Bad SOBs to kill, but I got the 2 worst fields sprayed. I just hope they don't come back next year. Sprayed myself too so I had to take 2 baths this month already.

Judy Brown went to WKYT TV station yesterday and probably made a nuisance of herself, but seems they all had a good time. Nice folks up there, they said it gets too quiet and were happy to get a fun visit.

Running a tank of free water out of my spring to clean the spray and tank. Better get it turned on and put away for a while.
Have a good one!

Doug R., I do court appointed guardianships . Usually it is indigents that are comatose and on life support but I get a few live ones. They are mostly last surviving family member and no relatives Several had prepaid funerals, one in excess of 10 grand and there has always been a few details. Some the court paid, some I paid out of my pocket. I think everyone deserves a headstone.
Nonetheless , as much as they have "cleaned up" the business they keep finding ways to get a little more.

My idea of perfect estate planning is the check I write for the undertaker bounces.

My only experience with prepaid (prestolen) funeral expenses involved a funeral directotrix who absconded with the prepaid escrow money from a couple hundred people.

She was ordered to pay restitution but last I heard she was not complying so she got another stern talking to by the court.

Tells me all I need to know about that end of the dead people business.

My mother and father had invested in a funeral plan. It was supposed to gain interest and would cover the expenses of their funerals. When my father past we went to the funeral home and the guy told us that it no longer had the money they had paid him. Actually they had gotten plan from a former owner and the new guy had used the invested money to help pay for the funeral home business. We were left holding the bag so to speak. My sister had a friend who worked for a lawyer. One phone call and we got my dad's funeral expenses, but that is all. Of course he is the only funeral home in a several mile radius, being a very rural area. Sister and I wound up paying for her expenses.
