48° here in Upstate NY this morning, it is supposed to get up to about 64° and be dry for today. Yesterday we got more rain and I suppose it was all right because we couldn't do anything about it.

I worked on computers most of the day so I was inside and today well I hate to say it but it will be more of the same. There will be no fishing for me before the end of the month with the river the way it is.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning from Iowa, it's a warm 52 right now. Some rain is forecast this afternoon and for the next 6 days.
The good news is I have a good offer to buy the little dump truck and I accepted a good offer on the property last night. All that's left is a rusty Buick and a n antique stove. We are finally getting this wrapped up. It's been a brutal 5 weeks of work seven days a week.
We are planning on leaving Sunday afternoon for a short R&R then heading home.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Good Morning

Morning George and Ken and all the rest of the late sleepers! LOL Its 50 here in NC Ohio suppose to be dry. They say a F1 tornado touched down in Columbus yesterday at 5AM doing lot of damage to trees and such. Back to work on my garden beds today maybe a trip to the lumber yard for more 2x10 yellow pine. Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

morning all. 32 today, 72 this afternoon. Glad I cleaned out the garden last night, only this left is the carrots.
Got another field baled and one started before it got too dry yesterday. Boss man finished baling a field of straw that he started a week ago.
Swathers are parked so now the end of haying is near :D
Not much fall ground work will be done, just too dry and we need the clean up feed for the cows anyway.
Better move along, have a great day.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Great cool morning folks,

Yep, 46° with a partly cloudy sky and a high in the mid 60's later hear near Halfway USA.

Tuesday I finished up the wood gathering for this year. Ended up with another full load in the truck. Laid up 14 face cord in the woodshed in 4 days. 8 cords up at the flood house. It wasn't my intention to do so in a sprint but that's what happened.

Wednesday found me out of the house at daylight tree trimming. The big Black Walnut outside my office window has dropped it's nuts already so the lower branched got trimmed. Made it much easier to get the mowing done later in the morning. Afternoon had the tumbler running. Pistol brass & some .223 is shined up.

I also placed an order for materials to build two more concrete benched at the range. Pick up this morning.

DD wants to do some rummaging today. I figure it's about time we had a play day rather than work our butts off. :D

good morning folks. It's 60º here with mostly sunny skies to come (I think, it's still not up yet). But I've been up since early this morning. I'll post another story separately...

Made it to the range last night after work with the muzzleloaders. It was starting to storm when I got there but the bench is covered and I don't have much time to wait for a nice day. Got both guns zeroed fairly quickly, 3" high at 100, should be near dead on at 200. I may try to run to another range to shoot to 200 and 300 if I find time, just to verify my holdovers. We can get long shots on our lease in MD and I want to be ready.

Well, I guess I'll make another quick post and get busy. Have a good one.

Good morning, GoGo. It's a chilly 58 in Louisville, only going to 64. The forecast changed on us overnight. It was supposed to be dry today, but now looks like we'll get rain at some point.

Looks like my "wood working" duties are starting just as Scott's is finishing up. I don't burn wood, but there's a farm I get to do a little deer hunting on. The owner hurt his hand on a table saw a few weeks ago and a friend and I are going down to the farm tomorrow and Saturday to split and stack some firewood for him. That's if the logging roads are dry enough that we can get where we need to go, which is highly in question. I hope I'm just the stacker, because I have almost zero experience with a chainsaw. I could probably operate a hydraulic splitter somewhat safely.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Good Rainy (again) Morning from the sticks of Kentucky.
Its pouring again right now so that means I probably shouldn't go finish splitting the last of my firewood. My JD Tractor is sitting out in the woods getting washed and I don't like to leave them out in the rain.
I did not have a good night last night due to my aching shoulder, fingers and hip joint. I got out of bed at 3am and headed to the couch, where I finally dozdd off again later.
Kentucky Fisherman, you are welcome to come down and take wood splitter lessons..

I was actually planning on hooking up the Bushog to the Cab Tractor and start of some pasture fields that have to be done in the next 10 days. But the fields are too wet anyhow I suppose. Maybe inside activities for a while? Only thing on TV is the Senate hearings of the Kavanaugh hearings. BS. Liberal Propaganda.

I did kill what is the hopefully last groundhog of the year out of my Barn yesterday. Sitting on the front porch having a cold Dewshine and I see a big brown head poke up in the field just out of the barn. I ease up and get LDS rifle that is a sure killer, sneak around the house and lie down on the porch and wait with the bipods down till he showed up again. >>>>> One less Tunnel Rat in the Barn.

A rainy morning in Middle TN. Weather guessers say it will be that way all day. The high isn't supposed to get out of the 60's. I suppose fall is here.
The usual mix of business and personal chores today. Pick up the mail, make a small deposit and get some packages mailed. I don't usually mention anything political, but I think I can reliably promise that I will NEVER NEVER vote for a damned democrat for anything at any future point in my life. Not that I ever have in the past. As a group of people that has to be the most worthless, despicable bunch on the planet.

G'day Y'all,
Rick
