Good morning, GoGo. It's 56 in Louisville, only going to 64 today. Then it's supposed to drop to around 40 in the morning. Slim possibility of a light frost this weekend.
Took delivery yesterday (USPS) of some really hot handgun self-defense bullets some of you might like to know about. I'm not sure how long they've been out, but the bullet is called a Federal HST. They're normally only available in loaded rounds, not as a reloading component, but I ran across a company that buys factory rejects, disassembles them and sells the parts. Company is called
American Reloading. What I got was some 124 grainers in 9mm and 230gr in .45 ACP. For good data on these and other handgun bullets, check out
luckygunner.com.
The info above is largely added as a public service announcement for those who think that perhaps we should be sharing more tips. Lots of you may already know about that Lucky Gunner site, but some may not, and I think it's just the cat's ass. Besides the testing they do, there are a bunch of really good articles in the Lucky Gunner Lounge area.
Miss Cindy and I are spending next week in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. I'd love to hear what your favorite spots are there, the attractions (natural or commercial) that you just can't miss when you're there. I'll start another thread for that and look forward to finding some "can't miss" places we've never visited.
Y'all have a good'n, be safe out there, and don't forget to pray for folks who just suffered so much hurricane damage.
