36° here in Upstate NY this morning with the high temperature for today expected to get up to about 41°. It won't be that warm but it will be sunny, and then tomorrow more rain is coming in.

Yesterday I enjoyed myself at the range for a couple of hours in the morning not so much in the afternoon and last night. We had our nominations for officers in 2019 meeting and as was expected I was nominated for Sec/Treas. with no opposition. We ratified the revised By-Laws and the members at large voted for a "Guest Member" membership that can be purchased by members. We are also going to start a Sell/Swap closed group Facebook page for the club.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Great morning folks,

Another cloudy sky, 37° but clearing may come through later here near Halfway USA.

Yesterday Tom said "Mud slinging you say? Scott, with 50% of our wunnerful, down right upright Pols back in the bread line, I'd think you could hire a couple, cheap - and they are masters at it."

Tom, the truuuuble in that is fully 128% of them POLS ain't never done a lick a work in a day. Bet you can't find a callous on a single hand. They even pay other's to sling mud wilst they smile & profile.

With regard to that mud slinging in the remodel project, Debra Dearest wasted no time getting screw holes covered. I worked the seams on the ceiling. Got nearly as much compound on myself too. Finished with the wall & corners. We had the first layer done by dinner time. Scuff this morning & skim coat later then a final sanding. One area where 4 joints meet will probably require some extra attention.

Have to meet with the financial advisor this morning. Moving accounts around & signatures are required. That should only take a few minutes then it's back to remodeling.

The 30-40mph wind gusts over the past couple days got most of the leaves out of the trees & spread about the yard thoroughly. Gonna be a busy day or so herding that that stuff up. Watch for the fire & smoke. :D

Good morning from Bartonville Texas. 58 and rain in the forecast. Monday we got the RV, that evening daughter in law says we have to arrive before 7am Wednesday as they are paving the private road to the house. We'll, we made it arrived at 1am.
With the existing road repairs, new paving and and remodeling projects I have the RV in place but, I cannot turn around to get out and there is 3000.00 damage from the road and low tree branches.
We are here for three weeks so I have time to work on a solution.
We have been here before and no issues getting in or out.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Good morning everyone....at the shop but still sitting in a chair with a pounding headache from some seriously messed up sinus thing. It started yesterday but this morning was brutal getting out of bed...plus I'm sure the damWife having hotflashes and turning the damfan on hi didn't help much either. I never seen nothing like it....put on 14 layers of pajamas, 12 blankets then 15 minutes later it all starts flying off. Even after knowing its gonna happen every single night the same thing ritual of the pajamas goes on......then I wake up with no blankets and a ceiling fan running full bore. Damn lady parts.

Should finish up this set of furnace parts today and more will be dropped off to weld on and it starts all over again with the smoke.

Hope everyone has a good day!

morning all. 20 here with somewhere in the 40s later today. Might get some moisture this weekend, the wind is sure to blow.
Got more of the elk cut up, the only one left is mine and it can hang another day or so.
Haven't found a new frig yet, only two places sell them in the valley and one is Sears. Which is still open here but has to order things in and it could take up to three weeks . We'll be making a trip over the mountain this weekend most likely.
Better get, breakfast is callin'. Have a great day. Guess I voted for a bunch of losers again:eek:. Colorado is going down hill fast! Trying to catch Calif. I guess.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good Morning

29 here in NC Ohio with sun for now, it will change! Internet was down for the day with high wind damage to the broadcast from my cousins farm. Built a fire in the GH stove last night and its looks like from now on till spring. The running back and forth keeps the joints loosed up. Be safe and Prayers to those and this Country. Hug your gun, Posie B. will be after them now. Mike

Good morning, GoGo. It's 34 in Louisville, going to 51. Rain is due late tonight through about noon tomorrow. Lows in the 20s Saturday and Sunday, just in time for the rifle deer opener. That means I'll be acting somewhat like Shane's wife this weekend, wearing many layers when I climb into my treestand and then shedding most of it by noon or so.

 I never seen nothing like it....put on 14 layers of pajamas, 12 blankets then 15 minutes later it all starts flying off. ......then I wake up with no blankets and a ceiling fan running full bore. Damn lady parts.
Shane, what you're describing reminds me of the overheating problem that prairie dog whackers run into. Maybe for Christmas you get the missus one of those battery-powered fans with a probe that slides into the barrel. Boy, won't her eyes light up when she unwraps that gift at the family gathering and asks, "What the hell is this for, Shane?" :D Miss Cindy has issues similar to your wife's. I wear a CPAP at night and it pumps a constant flow of air into a mask I wear. I just duct-taped a small flex-hose to my mask exhaust port and ran it under the covers. I bet Dr. Ruth never heard that one, huh? Greyfox will probably say that's TMI. ;)

In case I forget to mention it later, Veterans Day is Sunday. Y'all have a good'n today and be safe out there.

Good morning from the sticks of KENTUCKY where the Lesbian ex Marine woman went down to defeat in the election to House of representatives. But it was close only because the district included Lexington and Frankfort and a lot of Dimwit voters.

Juan Valdez Skruske is coming along on the drywall project without the aid of any illegal Messicans. I just hope he doesn't burn the house down today in the leaf fire.
Ken's wife is no longer Distraught and that's a good thing....you Never want a distraught wife. Shane's wife is making HIM distraught....buddy I think you need to start sleeping at the welding shop.

I am wondering if I should try to sell calves this weekend or wait till the next one as the weather is going to be rainy here and there is still some Grass left on the pasture they are on now. I have to move them across the road to corral them up and I want them to eat as much of it as I can. Decisions.

Good Luck to the deer shooters this weekend in Kentucky....I am going to have to put a large sign that says COW on all my Damcows.

late to the party today but I've been up since 5AM and have been busy guttin' and draggin'! It's 50º or so now, was 42º when I got on stand at 5:30. Didn't see much but did see enough. This guy came cruising thru about 6:55AM and I talked myself out of shooting him twice, but the way it all played out, I just HAD to. :D I used the "can" to get his attention, he took his time, made a scrape and walked thru the "gauntlet" trail I created just for this situation. He was obscured enough for me to stand and draw. He stepped out and I released. He tried to duck it and I caught him just a bit high in the spine and he dropped. Another arrow in him put the lights out quickly. Tough to do on a thrashing deer! No blood trailing this one. If my 4 wheeler batter wasn't dead, I could have driven right to him. Had to drag it 40 yards to get the lawn tractor to him. Had him skinned out hanging in the shed by 8AM and back to work by 8:30. I figure he's a good 3.5 y.o. 7 pt. Not my biggest but it filled a tag and the freezer. I saw another one, similar to this, last night. Left him go. I kicked myself for doing it, but that doesn't matter now.

Gotta run. Have a meeting to get to. I knew I would kill this morning, just to make it a rush to get to my meeting. LOL

Have a good one!

Jr I did buy a decent cot for the PD Safari and I do have enough room to fit it in the office here at the shop! Might be a real plus since the MIL has been staying with us.

Nice deer Charlie....meat is meat to me.....I don't care if there are antlers or not.

Currently 50º in the hollow, up a few degrees since sunrise. About as warm as it's going to get today. I've spent the better part of the past few days identifying, pricing and selling the gun collection left to our club. The LGS is inside a carper/flooring store in a small Middle TN town. Seems a little odd, but it works. We have sold around $15,000 in guns and such since Thursday with no advertising, all walk ins. Still have a lot to go and I posted the list of TC's, barrels and scopes in another thread this morning. There are still some good buys and I'll be listing a few more items soon, including a Dillon 550 and probably a few high dollar black cartridge rifles. For today though, I've got to catch up on business and pay some bills.

Good on ya Charlie, and yes, Mikey that's a little more info than I need although maybe not as much as some stuff you're shared with me in the past.

G'day Y'all,
Rick
