19° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high today is to get up to about 28°, going to be another cold one.

Yesterday was a cold day, the high didn't make 30° all day. I was quite busy all day and it looks like that will be the case today also.

We have an winter advisory for tonight into tomorrow morning. The snow is supposed to start this afternoon and then we will have wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain through tomorrow morning. They are predicting my area may get up to 4" of snow.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning

Morning George and others to follow. 28 with freezing rain here in NC Ohio, suppose to change to rain later. Just stoking fires for me today, there is plenty of domestic work available. Well I hear the coffee pot callin my name and a cup sounds real good on a chilly wet morning. Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

Good morning, 249 this morning. Water is frozen again. Ugg. High in the,, upper 60's for the next 3 days before the rain and cold return. Need to get the water flowing then drive over to Plano to visit in-laws.
A fellow I served with in RVN passed away unexpectedly this week, his funeral is tomorrow in Big Spring. I should go though it's 280 miles over there.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,

Good morning everyone.......at the dark shop this morning....ice has power out so no coffee yet and no one else is here. It was slicker than a TN postmans pick up lines this morning on the way in. Tree limbs down everywhere along the way. Not sure when power will be on but I think I should have just slept in a little today.

If the power comes on soon I'll get a late cup of coffee and get to welding on the glass furnace parts cause I ain't going outside to work on a trailer.....they can wait on that a little longer.

Well have a good day!

good morning folks. It's 27º here and the snow has started within the last 20 minutes. Too early for that in my book. We are on the edge of 1-3" or 3-5". West aways they are expecting 5-8". That's good, but we are also on the edge of the ICE and other assorted frozen KRAP. Could be fun getting home and up the drive. Ask JR and Ken what my drive looks like. Anyway, the battery is back in the 4 wheeler and charged up. I just need to hook up the plow if I need it.

I took off early yesterday to hunt a bit. Figured this storm coming would have the deer moving. Was kinda slow until near dark. A small buck pushed a half dozen does across a field to me. He was running all of them around for awhile, then right at dark, the does started coming into the woods where I was. Had 3 of them under me at dark. Nothing I could do but spook them and get out. Also saw a couple foxes. Big male came running by, stopped and marked his territory and kept on going. He met up with another and they were both screaming and carrying on. I've never heard a red do that. they came back by in the dark barking the whole way. I don't know what was up but they wanted everyone to know.

Good luck up dare Scott. Have a good one!

Round two.....said screw it I'm going home...power company says main line problem could be a couple hours maybe more. Go to start my truck and it shows me no love...click,click,click. Ok I got another vehicle here start it up and fight all the ice off it and just about the time i'm done I look in the shop and the lights are on. So I put on coffee first, then parks the freshly de-iced truck and put a battery charger on my Blazer and hit the jump mode and it fires up. I'll shut it off and try it again later...battery is only about 2 years old so not sure yet as to what caused that.

Got coffee now and starting to warm up again.

Morning

Good morning all. It's a gloomy looking 33 in Indy The weather guessers overplayed their hand, as usual. ICE! SNOW! PANIC! Probably had people buying all the milk and bread they could get their hands on last night. While there is a light coating of ice on trees, the streets were just wet. Something is still falling but whatever it is, it's melting on the ground. Julie's off to a meeting with the hospital retirement financial lady to see when/if she can pull the plug. Me? Here I am and this is probably it for the day.

Loaded up more test loads for the .224 Valkyrie last night. Now I need some help from the weather.

Shane mentioned pick up lines so I'll share my favorite. "Hello darlin'. Does this handkerchief smell like chloroform to you?"

Have a good day.

Low 30's with a sometimes light mist hanging in the hollow. Forecast is for more of the same with the temp in the 30's all day. Folks keep asking when the new range will open. My answer is, if you can tell me when the rain will stop I can tell you when the range will open. But, we are moving forward, if slowly. About 1/2 of the slab is formed and we may get it poured by Friday, the rest will be done early next week. If the temp stays reasonable we'll start on the benches. But we can't seed & straw until the topsoil is spread and that will require some sunny days.....maybe next April :)

Not much going on here today, except lunch with the old farts.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

1 to 3" my ass. It's been snowing for 4 hours and we have over 4" here at the office and it's putting it down! Looks to be at least 3-5 more hours of this crap before change over to rain/ice. Hope I can get up the driveway to get to the 4 wheeler without having to trudge up there on foot.
