68° here in Upstate NY this morning, we had some rain last night which helped. Today the high temperature will get up to about 84° which is better than the last three days in the 90's.

I enjoyed fishing yesterday for a few hours even though the temperature got up to 90° while I was doing so.

Today will be a full day of being on the road, no more goofing off.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning

71 here in NC Ohio with a good rain last night at midnight. Only thing I got done yesterday was a trip to town to stock the frig. Will attempt to do some more crossing of the daylilies this morning and slap some paint on the trailer sideboards. Well coffee is done and time to partake. Prayers to those and country. Mike

morning all. 53 and headed to 85 and breezy. Still calling for a chance of some moisture Thurs. and Friday. Hope they are right.
The wild fire is now up to 60750 acres and growing, that was seven hours ago, sure it's much bigger this morning. Pray for the fire fighters and all involved, hundreds of folks evacuated, more every day as it reaches more subdivisions.
Worked around the shop most of the day yesterday, the old Mack truck we stack hay with quit, so I've been trying to get it going, maybe today. Every day is a adventure around here!
Better get moving, have a great day and be safe.
GOD BLESS. Dean

To answer Charlies' question. No we're not in any danger here. Our cattle are on national forest but on the other side of the valley, if a fire were to breakout there then we'd have problems but so far so good. But it is dry there too. We really need rain and not just thunder storms! Thanks for the prayers.

Morning folks. It's already 80º with similar humidity here, headed to 95º+ with heat indexes 105º+. Yeah, it's going to be hot. The heat is supposed to break by the weekend, with possible storms. Probably when I want to be fishing.

I got my yard mowed last evening. It looks like hell, but it's mowed. I think I need to sharpen the mower blades again. The grass seed I planted is going pretty good. I have to give it lots of water though, so I don't lose it. I also fertilized the garden, and dusted with Sevin. The squash bugs already got to a couple zuke's. Doesn't look like they're going to make it. Something's eating the turnip greens. Cabbage look good and the tomatoes are starting to grow. I think it'll be September before I see any 'maters though. That's okay...I'll have them longer into the Fall.:)

Dean, is your spread in any danger of the fire? What about your cattle in the mountains? That's a big fire. Hope you get some rain soon.

Well, I guess I should get busy. Prayers sent.

Charlie

G'morning

Good morning all. It's 80 in Indy heading for 89. Not much cooler in the house but the HVAC guy is supposed to be here some time today. AC hasn't shut off for 6 days and can't get-r-done. So, I'm stuck here all day waiting on him. There's also a guy coming between 11 & 2 to inspect Julie's Honda CR-V. The lease is up at the end of the month and we're gonna' just turn it in.

My nephew works for Viaero Wireless in CO. They have a bunch of cameras around the state and several are/were looking at the fire. If you have Facebook, search for Dave Roberts. If not, got to the Viaero website and check the list of Colorado cameras. The only one I know for sure that was showing the fire was the Sangre de Cristo camera. Maybe Dean will know others that might have a view.

Gotta' do nothing. It ain't as easy as it sounds! Have a good day.

51 on the way to the mid 70’s today.

Fires continue. The largest one has reached 70,000 acres. Lots of mandatory evacuations. The smoke is bad and our trucks are covered in ash this morning. Over 2000 fire fighters are on the line. Planes and copters are making runs all day, some areas they can’t fly in due to the thick smoke.

Have a good day and be careful out there.

Doug, the viaero camera in La Veta shows the western edge of the fire.
