63° here in Upstate NY this fine morning with about a 40% chance of rain. The high is going up to about 84° today.

Yesterday was a mixed bag of activities and today I feel is going to be a full day of work. I had a call yesterday from a company I do subcontract work for and asked if could go fix a computer yesterday afternoon. As how it is an hour drive one way I said no I wouldn't be able to. I asked them what the emergency was and they said another tech went to the customers but he hadn't fixed it correctly. I told them I could go this morning but not for the amount they stated as it was an two hour round trip. They upped the price to an amount I agreed to so I will be heading there this morning. I don't like these type of situations as you don't know what you are walking into.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning

Morning George and others to follow. It's 72 this morning with a slim chance of rain later today. I have the help of a 14 yr. old boy today so maybe two loads of dirt will fly, maybe not!!! When I was 14 my father was deceased I was farming 250 acres, milking 15 Jersey cows and had 20 head of Duroc sows farrowing and going to school. But this 14 yr. old can only do 2 hrs. and he's sitting down done for the day. But maybe that's why I'm in the shape that I am ?? Thank God I'm looking at the green side of the sod!! Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

Good Morning, it's another nice day in Waseca. High around 88 and clear.
Bushes all trimmed and another shelf built yesterday. Discovered that the box with the car title is so buried under other boxes that getting it out is a major work effort, maybe I won't get new plates after all. There's a lot of unpacking remaining.
Not sure what is going to happen today, basement cleaning and organizing, store room? It needs help.
No food in the house so breakfast at the little mom and pop restaurant on main street them wally world to get supplies.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Great morning folks,

A comfortable 68° with a partly cloudy sky here near Halfway USA. Yesterday's predicted rain dematerialized on it's way here so it was really nice all day. Today is more of the same with a high of about 85°.

The adventure for Monday was pretty enjoyable. I borrowed a pair of kayaks from Corey first thing in the morning & loaded up ours when I got home. First order of business then was to acquire a couple suitable life jackets for the grandkids. After that, we visited a nearby small lake so Sofie could test drive a kayak for the first time. We also tried out going double in single kayaks. One adult & one active grandkid in a kayak isn't ideal but we made it work. The grandkids also did a bit of fishing - catch & release. 3yr old Paige caught her first & William caught several.

After some lunch, we headed south to the Shiawasee River for a leisurely float. Surprisingly no one dumped in. We did see plenty of wildlife along the way. The river has shallowed some since Spring & the water has cleared. Lots of fish were spotted as were ducks, turtles & muskrats. You can get surprisingly close to them if you glide up quietly.

Today's activity is going for a trail ride up north near the boyhood home of Charlton Heston. Zac, William & I are going to go get dirty while the girls go find some shopping to get accomplished.

morning all. 48 with 85 for a high, or more.
Almost 108000 acres now on the wildfire, has slowed down a lot, 70% contained. But the afternoon winds keep things flaring up.
Sprinkler work yesterday, but did get my baler ready for the field, finally.
Lots of other odd jobs done also yesterday. Not sure what today will hold yet.
Have a great day and remember the prayer requests.
GOD BLESS. Dean

good morning folks. It's a sunny 67º here with highs into the low 90's. Might get some rain. We could use it. I survived Monday. After my dental appointment I took the gas cans and truck to MD for fuel. PA has ridiculous fuel taxes. I spent $152 on diesel for the truck and gas for the mowers and trimmers. I saved about $0.50/gal though by driving a few miles to MD. I got home and managed to get the mowing done about the same time Miss Sue got home. Fresh rockfish on the grill for dinner. Good stuff.

Well, I need to get some coffee in me and get to work. Prayers offered. Have a good one!

Good morning all. It’s 74 in Indy heading for a sticky 91. Got just a couple more trim boards to paint before my son and his buddy slap ‘em up. I’m not allowed to help much. Chris don’t want my feet that far off the ground. Neither do I.

Turning in Julie’s Honda CR-V this morning. I’ll be glad to have it out of the way.

Have a good day.

Good morning, GoGo. I survived another Monday swinging the hammer. Check that one off! It's 77 in Louisville, going to 94 and will feel like 98-100.

Scott, I have two granddaughters but no grandsons, so I love your stories about the grandsons. A certain vocal segment of our society has been shouting for years that boys and girls are identical, but they aren't, nor should they be IMHO.

There's a new post showcasing Doug Kruske's cooking skills and you should all check it out. Great looking beef ribs.

I'm excited about a FedEx delivery due at my house tomorrow. On one of the other shooting forums I posted a quick, first "I'll take it" on a used Sightron 10-50x60 benchrest scope that was offered at a "too good to be true" price. I called the seller 5-6 hours later to discuss payment and was told that he had sold it to someone else. I didn't use a single curse word, but made sure he knew what I thought of him. About two days later Graf & Sons put their Sightrons on sale at 25% off, so I spent my money with them. I'd rather have saved the bucks by buying used, but the Graf's deal was a good one on a brand new scope. Got my 30mm Burris Signature Zee rings in the mail on Saturday and should get the scope tomorrow.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Mornin' all,
Weather Bug says it's 77º in Goodlettsville, so that means it's probably 75º or so in the hollow. The boss is home so the fun's over until next Thursday when the bus leaves for MT. But I do have someone else to walk the Westies now, so that's worthwhile. Truth is we did miss her but it was nice being able to do what I wanted rather than what she wants. Ah, the price of marital bliss. Reminds me, we need some ZingPow commentary. I miss him.
Today is the usual mix of business and personal. Packages to mail, some route and will be buying gates and a lock for the new range to keep out the nosey neighbors.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

Funny you should mention Zing Pow

81 and sunny here in the northern Ozarks. Supposed to clear and hot today. That doesn't surprise me, we are way too dry for normal here. Not much on my plate today. Help the wife clean her fish tanks. Have three that need cleaned. My fault I got her one as a gift and now we have several.

Greyfox funny you should mention Zing Pow. I was just thinking about him a couple of days ago and wondering where he is and what has happened to him. Does anyone know what he is up to or not?

Prayers for the needing and the firefighters who are working so hard. Some moisture would go a long ways to help a lot of us. Dryest I have seen in a few years. Reminds me of 2012. The creek running through my farm ground went completely dry that year. First I remember in my lifetime, it is working on doing it again. Have a great day and God bless.

61 on the way to the high 80’s today.

Fires are slowly being contained. Lots of acreage burned. Lots of people lost everything. Hope we can get through the rest of the summer, relatively unscathed.

Enjoy your day and be careful out there.

Zingpow

I'm not sure what happened to Tim (Zingpow). I was playing a softball tournament in Lansing, MI several years ago and met him for lunch. He was exactly the same guy in person as he was on the board. I remember posting that he was the first guy on the board named after Chinese food. He said the food was named after him. Hope he's still riding and got the shiny side up.

Zing Pow came over to Skruske's house one morning when I was visiting, and visited a couple hours with the both...all 4 of us.
Rather Intense for sure.
He was in constant motion the whole time he was there..
