31° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high temperature for the day is to be about 38°.

We are under a winter weather advisory this morning till 11:00AM. I have about 1/2" snow and slush on my deck and they say we might get up to 2" snow total. It is suppose to switch to rain later.

Yesterday wasn't to bad a day and I was busy most of the day. Today I have to be on the road for most of the day.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning, 29 degrees, windy and over cast. Yesterday was cold wet and windy. Nothing got done yesterday as my wife had a medical issue in the middle of the night. She's better today.
I am taking the truck to the tire shop at 9am. Something is not right causing abnormal tire wear.
High temperature today is 42 and cloudy so not much enthusiasm for working outdoors.
Hope everyone has a blessed warm and safe day,
Ken

Good Morning

34 here in NC Ohio with some snow in the forecast. When I'm out stoking the fires I have heard coyotes howling south of my home in the past. Last year and so far this season there's nothing. Plus there are lots of rabbits around the homestead. Just wonder what mother nature is up too? Be safe and Prayers for all the evil around us and to those and country. Mike

Morning

Good morning friends. It's 32 in Indy and we might get to 35. Warming trend I think they call that. Can't tell the difference I call it. Found the top of my loading bench again yesterday. Also found a couple of shell holders for 9 MM I didn't remember having when I bought one. All of 'em are hanging on a pegboard now. Might push Julie into some indoor range time today. I put a light on the .45 caliber Glock since it's my bedside gun at night. Makes it easier to tell how to hold it and, if the light is in your eyes, you might be in trouble.

I ordered something, actually 2 somethings, from a company called Two Blind Brothers a few days ago. They are what they say and are having a blind shopping promotion. They say they have to trust people all the time due to their vision issues and are asking shoppers to trust them. You order an item or items from three choices, three different price points, and you don't know what you've bought until you get it. As a reward for trusting them and buying two $32 items, I was allowed to order $100 worth of other items from their catalog for free. They have been on a TV talk show so I think they're on the up-and-up and 100% of their company's profits go to helping cure blindness. I'll report back later.

Have a good day.

morning all. Starting off the day at 1 degree, wind chill is -4, I'm sure they will both go on down before the sun gets up. The rest of the week is to be warmer.
Got one bunch of damcows in for the vet to preg test, will be a very long day, right around 300 head to run thru the chute.
But I have a appt. for a EKG in town about the time the work starts here, there will be lots left to do when I get home.
Didn't do much yesterday, it was windy and cold, we got the cows in late in the afternoon and everyone was chilled to the bone.
I did get a few loads loaded for the creedmoor, need a few more then a chance to try them out. :)
Better get, have a good day, stay warm and safe. Prayers for the folks around the fires.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good morning varmints of all shapes and sizes. :D It's 42º here with light rain. Must have poured overnight. The creeks are way above their banks this morning. Deer are on the move. Saw a really big, older 6 point with a doe. Tried to get a pic at 5 yards but every time he'd duck his head behind a tree. Was only about 14" wide but super heavy horns. A 3.5 year old or older deer, I didn't ask him.

I started butchering last evening. Just me, so it takes me awhile, but I got the two front quarters all de-boned and cleaned up. Have about 10-15 pounds of meat ready for the grinder. I also cut out the back straps and had them for dinner. Fried briefly in butter with Tony Chachere's and garlic. Yum. I'll get the tenderloins out and hind quarters de-boned tonight, I hope. Not sure what it's all going to turn into. Sausage, burger, bologna??? Maybe all three. Might do a big hunk of loin or hind quarter on the smoker this weekend.

Well, I guess I should get busy here. Lots to do ahead of the holiday and vacation time I have for hunting coming up. Have a good one. Prayers sent.

mid 40's, cloudy w/some misting rain. Altogether ugly day. Customers to bill, packages to mail, invoices to print, bills to pay....another day in paradise. Really, it's not bad, just nothing particularly exciting going on. The total income from the sale of the estate items for the club is upward of $26,000 and still have several pricey things to sell. Pretty sure we'll hit $30,000 by the time we finish, which was the estimate at the beginning. I have a couple of TC Contender barrels to mail today if the checks come in and still have one complete Contender on the shelf. We have reconfigured it since we sold the 22 LR barrel. Ir is now a 14" 6 TCU with a Burris 2.5x7 scope. IMO-it is the best package of the bunch and worth the asking price of $650 IIRC.

Good on ya Mikey for taking a little doe. I would have been disappointed in you had you shot a young buck. Let 'em grow. The does eat better anyway. Had a very good 10 point in my back yard yesterday morning. Brow tines were very short, but he had decent mass. He was checking out the doe family of six who frequent my yard several times per day. Apparently he didn't smell anything ripe yet and moved on.

G'day Y'all,
Rick
