28° here in Upstate NY this morning, we are under a winter weather advisory till 7:00AM. We have had some wintry mix through the night. The high temperature is to get up to about 42° today.

Yesterday was a busy day with my being on the road quite a bit and today I will be on the road all day.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

God Morning from Trinity Texas, 59 and partly cloudy, high of 69.
After some discussion yesterday it was decided that I would be painting the interior of one of the staff houses. Then replace the carpet with floating floor. I have my wife and another couple to help. We spent the day cleaning and prepping yesterday. One room is partially painted. All the air vent covers and light globes went in the dish washer.

Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

54* in the south shore of Lake ERie. Bit it looks like a drastic change in the next 24 hours. Considering the lake is still open and warm, such storms can be spectacular if the wind picks the right direction.

Good Morning

50 right now here in NC Ohio suppose to rise to 55 and then drop like a rock !!!! The main item on my list is to get two fires going by tonight and it looks like keep them going for a few days. Sometime we are due for some real winter!! Hey KF Mikey if you wait on the stock market for retirement, you might be working till they wheel you out feet first. You want to retire with your shoulder hitting the door hard enough to break the glass!!! Just my humble opium. Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

morning all. 9 for starters, could reach 37 today. Just hope the wind is done for a few days.
Kinda busy yesterday, still didn't get the starter put on the loader but the alternator that I put on last week went out so I went to town and got another one of those, hope it lasts longer. We have frozen water pipes somewhere that stop the flow to the shop, the boss mans' office and some horse pens. Replaced some heat lights and stuffed fiberglass in the holes in a old well house that the pipes go thru. No water at dark last night yet. May not be where its frozen though.
Better get, breakfast is waiting.
Have a good one.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good morning, GoGo! Our weather in Louisville is much like MPC's in central Ohio. It's an incredible 57 degrees right now and going to around 61 with sun. Then sometime in the next day or so: WHAM! Tomorrow morning the low will be 31 and Thursday morning it'll be 22. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr! As someone else mentioned, when it's this warm and wet, and then a true winter cold front arrives, it can mean some pretty "interesting" storms. It's time for some cold, I just wish it would get cold and stay cold.

Thanks for the retirement advice, MPC (Mike). I think you're correct that I really can't let the ups and downs of the market dictate what I'm to do. At this point I think I'll shift my goal from "late spring" to simply "sometime this year." I'm pulling in a pretty good salary, so every month I stick with it means more in the bank. Also, since I turned 66 last June, my eventual Social Security is going up 0.8% for each month I don't draw.

I'm working in the office again today and have to be there Thursday, so it looks like my work-at-home days will be Wednesday and Friday this week.

Doug, don't tell us you haven't been out whacking the little white ball at least once during this warm spell. Maybe it was too wet.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

good morning folks. It's about 35º here with clouds and some sun possible today. It sleeted a bit last night, but not enough to cause any issues. It was supposed to warm up today but I don't see it happening before another cold front comes in tonight. Like MPC, I got the wood stove ready. I put a new door seal on last night and am ready to burn tonight if needed.

Which reminds me, I should maybe call the HVAC guy today. Our heat pump runs constantly when it's cold (I know, it probably will). But it doesn't shut off when the T-stat is satisfied. Every other furnace, heater, etc. I've dealt with shuts off when the T-stat setting is reached. This thing keeps going and going. It doesn't go above that temperature, just holds there. I don't understand it??? And I have the T-stat set on permanent hold at 68º. Without anybody touching it, it occasionally jumps to the "schedule" setting. Trouble is, I never set up a schedule. It'll be 4AM in the morning and we'll wake up with the furnace blasting us and the T-stat set on 70º???

Oh well...I better get moving. Prayers offered. Have a good one.

Good morning ya’ varmints. We have www in Indy this morning. Warm, wet, and windy. 51 heading for 55 with a “wind advisory” and the weather rock is wet. Golf was brutal yesterday. Ain’t happening today. Planning on shooting some pistols tonight. Switched the Glock 23 back to .40 caliber for the occassion. We have too much .40 ammo. Gotta’ get rid of some. The conversion is pretty easy. Barrel, recoil spring, extractor, and magazine.

Saw that Cabelas has their . 204 Savage 12FV on sale for $330. All other calibers are $420, regular price. Tupperware stock is much improved.

Have a good day.

Good morning everyone. Pretty dang warm out this morning but doubt it will stay that way long. Working on some small parts today at the shop....hopefully I get my material in today or tomorrow so I can start on my welding bed for my truck. I'm doing a flatbed with a drop down at the cab for my welder and compressor to sit in so they can still be seen over the top of. Still new to install my PTO pump and get a oil tank built.

Doug I seen the had the 12FV .204 on sale and it is still very tempting even without the rebate even though I damn sure don't need another rifle.....but want sometimes wins and you end up with one anyway.:D

Have a good day!

58º and partly cloudy in the hollow this morning, going to the mid-60's today. I agree with Mikey about a lot of things but wishing for permanent cold isn't one of them. I'll take all the 50 & 60º degree days in January that I can get. There is nothing about weather in the teens and twenties that I enjoy. Not sure what today will bring. I have a couple of orders to get out and since my bride is serving on the county grand jury for the next three months I have dog sitting duties, so I won't get too far from home for long. I do have to make a 30 mile run south to the Mini Cooper dealer for a part for her car, so that I can have mine back. She can barely manage with my Escalade in downtown parking and does much better with the Mini. So it's,

G'day Y'all,

GOOD morning from the sticks of Kentucky where it 60 degrees this morning.
Fought the water Problem all day yesterday and found out too late it was a seeping o ring in a commode. NO Sounds of leaking but it was. Everyone listened to it and no one heard anything. New fangled stuff ain't like the old flapper valves.

Mikey, my advice to you is the same as MPC. If you don't quit counting pennies, someone else is going to be counting them for you. You need to get out ASAP, and spend some of those pennies yourself. Someone else will be spending them for you if you don't. Jest sayin....

Got an abandoned twin baby calf in the. Barn right now. It ate good yesterday but refused it today, but is strong as a Bull. I hate bottle feeding.
Got to go feed the rest of the crew...Skruske maybe your parts will arrive today...

Hello JR and the rest of the gang, as he said, 60 here this morning. Got to run some errands today with the wife, go to the LGS and see what is new. Anybody need some Ar-15 lowers, I am bidding on several on an online auction, stripped lowers will be dirt cheap or I aint buying them. Had a lot of nerve pain in my legs yesterday from the stroke, just started yesterday evening, did not quit till 1:30 am this morning. Friday will be 2 weeks since I had the biopsy's taken from my hip/groin area, and they culture them checking for infection, should here something about Friday about getting my new hip put in, sure gets old getting around on one leg and crutches, since Oct., 26. Well you all have a good one, remember those in need of prayers, Buff out!

Warm it is but wind is around 15 on my knoll. Thinking about washing the new truck.....funny how dirtiness bothers me when they haven't been around long.
We had some deeper places to cross returning from church - river being up, they say "river is out" in these parts.
Inventoried the 19, 20 and 22 Cal pills last night. I need to get loading and shooting, otherwise they'll go for $5 a box when I'm gone.
We got the gas golf cart and '99 pickup to the neighbor's who has a good sized gravel lot in Salem. Dinah has couch and chairs and carpet on the horizon.....ca$h flow y'know.
We had to beautiful sunset last night. Makes me happy to be in the country.
I saw a lot of Vets at the VA y'day and continue to realize: I have no problems. Enjoy this last mild day Amigos and Muchachos. Tom out
