19° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high temperature for today is to get up to about 28°. Our snow fall forecast has been downgraded since yesterday. We were originally supposed to get up to about 7" now we may get 3", it doesn't hurt my feelings.

I was on the road all day yesterday and it looks to be a busy week for me.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning from Trinity. 39 now, high of 49 and clear.
I will finish work on the staff house today. There are a couple of items still on order though. If they come in it won't take long to install them.

My daughter back in Minnesota is keeping me informed about the cold snap. Schools are closed for two days because of it. I installed a remote thermostat in the house so I can check temperature . So far the boiler is working properly.

Stay warm and have a great day,
Ken

Good morning everyone...I rolled in the shop at about 5:15 this morning for no other reason than the noise my wife was making getting ready for work this morning. I popped up about 4:15 and just got ready and came in. Coffee is done already and waiting for it to kick in.

I went out and looked over the snares again last night and not a thing yet. I did manage to pop a ol nasty opossum....I was standing there talking to a buddy about a tournament this weekend and the dummy came out of the weeds and walked damn near right up to me.

I guess the contest this past weekend had 49 teams for a pot of $4900....that would be a nice one to win for sure. The little ones we hunt in might pay out $100 if lucky.....we'd still do it even if there wasn't a payout though.

The dump truck didn't show up yesterday so I suspect it will be here sometime today. I will have to pull the door off the bed when it gets here to get that out of the way and weld some cracks up in it.

Hope everyone has a good day and stays warm its going to be a cold one tonight!

Good morning. It’s 12 here in Indy and might get near 20 before serious cold comes in tonight. Maybe a little snow. Julie’s working at Mooresville today. About 35-40 minute drive in good weather taking back roads to avoid traffic. She’s leaving early and taking the highway this morning. I’m 8 minutes from the pancake plot. Beyond that I have no plans.
Have a good day.

morning all. Starting off with a 0 this morning, could get to 31 later. Got windy and I even saw a snow flake or two go zipping by yesterday afternoon.
I finally got the hoses put on the yellow loader, need to fill it with oil and test for leaks. Hope there aren't any more but probably won't be the case.
Didn't get any coyotes yesterday, saw five around the farm though.
Better get to my breakfast before Gwyn throws it out to the dog.
Have a good day and be safe and warm.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Morning folks. It's 28º with a light dusting of snow here in SCPA. We might get a little more later, I don't know. Doesn't look like much to me on the radar. Had my Dr. appointment last night. Weight is down 9 lbs, Cholesterol's up a tad, triglycerides bottomed out, but my blood glucose is higher than it's been. Doc said I was only on the diet for 3 weeks before the bloodwork and suspects my body hasn't sorted things out yet. Said to keep it up and he'd see me in June.:)

Well, ain't getting nothing done here jabbering. Better get busy. Have a good one.

Good morning, GoGo. It's 16 in Louisville with wind chill down around zero expected today. Going to 27 for a high today before dropping to 8 the next two mornings. The weather guesser reminded us this morning that our January locally hasn't really been bad. Last year we had 9 mornings with single digit temps.

I'm going downtown again today so I can stay home Wednesday and Thursday. I'm not always the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I do know that if I'm allowed to work from home part of each week, why not be smart about that?

Charlie, if I'd adhered closely to a diet for three weeks and my cholesterol and blood glucose numbers were going the wrong way, I'd want my doc to say a little more than "Stay at it and come back in June." I swear, sometimes I think if we shooters/reloaders had the ability to run those tests on ourselves, I bet we could come up with outcomes as good or better than most docs. We know how to analyze data, we know how to think through some pretty complex gun/ammo issues. Just sayin. It gets real depressing, doesn't it?

Y'all have a good'n and be extra safe out there.

Great morning folks,

59° with a partly cloudy sky and 77° forecast for later here in the trailerhood.

I know you all have been sitting on the edge of your keyboards... I found a solution to the furnace problem. After lots of online research, a call to the furnace mfg, a call the the company who built the trailer and a call to a local trailer repair shop with little help, I cut the two leads to the thermostat & shorted them together.

The furnace took right off & produced heat within seconds. I suspect a second heat controller in the A/C unit is the source of the problem. That controller works with the digital t-stat but was failing to send signal through to the furnace.

My SIMPLE work around - buy and old school mechanical t-stat and 14 feet of wire. I fished wire and installed it as a stand alone system away from the A/C unit. Work perfectly now.

When I finished up & put away my tools I told Debra Dearest i was going to start my vacation now. ;)

I think today I will go pawn shopping.

Went to bed with some light rain, got up at 6:30a to snow, the flakes were pretty good size, biggest I've seen in a good while. Got about an 1" in an hour but it's let off some right now. Grass is covered and starting to stick to the roads which surprised me a bit since it was 50* yesterday.

Will stay off the roads since I don't have to be anywhere. May wonder into the "man cave" and see what I can get into.

Calling for lows of 18* for the next couple of nights, so I'll probably be driving the wife a bit more crazy (will be a short trip for her ) being inside the house.

Morning Gents! Its 21 here and clear with the windchill at 12. I'm going to move a phone line after while in preparation for a kitchen remodel, if it warms up some. Dang I'm kind of long in the tooth to be crawling around an attic! You'all have a good one.

Scott, after reading the info you provided and searching online for flashing light codes, it appears my furnace was on "lock out" for some reason and turning the t-stat on/off might have reset the issue and got me back working. Could have also been low LP pressure causing the lock out. Have a few new things to check when I get one of those round tuit things.:)

Charlie I did atkins diet for 6 months a few years back, lost #40 and all my stats dropped thru the floor, BP, Bad cholesterol, everything looked great, but was about like yours at 30 days in, at 60 days in everything was fantastic. It usually takes 4-6 weeks for your body to adjust and level out at its new operating statistics. KY Fisherman you are spot on about Doctors in general, I have seen two Neurologists for nearly 2 years and the only help they have been, is to prescribe me a medicine for nerve pain and muscle spasms, which get worse at night. I was having seizure like episodes two times a week at minimum, Neurologist ran every test they could think off, drained my wallet quite a few times in the process. Then I had the blood work done by a infectious disease doc, and he freaked out, because I was nearly septic with 2 life threatening infections, he had me come back the next day and gave me 3 iv's, and put me on 2 a day for 8 weeks. They took my metal hip out at 2 weeks into the iv therapy, and put in a plastic one full of antibiotics, and I have improved every week since. The ID doc could not believe that the Neruologist had not checked my bloodwork, for infection, since that was what the indicators was pointing to. My body was trying to shut down, the seizure like episodes, so it could fight the infection. This went on for 6 months before it was caught. I guess that is the reason they call it practicing medicine!

Good morning All. Not exactly a Carpet Diem start, BUT, late morning is the new Crack of Dawn for some of us retirees. 😉
By the time we left Greenwood y'day getting SIL's stuff, it was the proverbial "wintery mix" that disapated 20 mi south.

Say Shane, izzitdunyet? 😉

Mikie, one thing to remember is we had an exceptionally long cold snap last year. Nowhere near the norm. It was brutal. The wind hardly ever stopped on our knoll.
Heading to the shop, brass awaits. Tom out
