41° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high temperature will be up to about 48° today. It will cool down later on today and be somewhat cooler tomorrow. We got up to 56° yesterday which broke the record of 55° for the day.

I was on the road part of the day yesterday and I will be on the road all day today. So goes another week but I can't complain life is good.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning from Bartonville. 64 and cloudy, high of 73. 30% chance of rain. We have rain in the forecast for the next 10 days. While it may or may not rain it will be overcast and dreary. Uck.
I went for a walk in what I thought was a nature preserve yesterday morning, turned out to be an off road bike area. NO sing of life, no birds in the swamp or around the river, just a dead place. But the problem was how exhausted and dizzy I was from the walk. Same thing happened Saturday when we were picking up rocks around the house. Looks like a Doctor visit is in my future.

Hope eveyone has a better and wonderful day,
Ken

Good Morning

42 here in NC Ohio with some fog. Finally got my delivery of O2 tanks yesterday, now I can get back outside to the greenhouse work and get the pole barn cleaned up. Haven't seen any groundhogs but they should be out and about soon. Be safe and Prayers to those and this country. Mike

Good morning everyone......33° here this morning and still wet out. Looks like more dump truck cutting today. Hopefully the metal shop is quick on getting me my formed parts.

I tore down my AR last night I use for coyote hunting as I had twice it failed to strip a round out of the mag after firing a round. Not sure what is going on there as it hasn't done it before. It was a little dirty so a good cleaning will hopefully fix it. I'd like to put my 20tac upper on and see how it does on coyotes soon.

Well I hope everyone has a good day!

morning all. 33 again here, mid 40s with wind and a slight chance of moisture. We got a sprinkle of rain just after dark last night, freshened up the air was all. Rain in Feb. around here is just wrong! Should be snow!
Worked around the shop most of yesterday, got one of the big tractors in for servicing, will work at that today. Along with putting a new pressure switch on the air compressor.
Have a great day and remember those in need of prayers and our country.
GOD BLESS. Dean

good morning folks. It's 42º here headed to mid 50's later. Was 64º when I pulled out of work yesterday afternoon. Gorgeous day. I took advantage of the weather and cleared the leaves and debris from the roof gutters. They were pretty well full. Now the snow, ice and rain won't rip them off the house...maybe. I also sliced and vacuum sealed the last of the deer meat. Cured it into chipped deer. Turned out really good. Too bad I'm off carbs, no chipped deer gravy with toast or biscuits:(.

Well, I gotta dig in and get some stuff pushed off my desk this week. Better get after it. Prayers sent. Have a good one.

Good morning, GoGo. It's 51, going to 56 with a fine mist falling. Cold weather returning Friday morning through the weekend.

Working downtown this morning, but some of the morning is set aside to donate blood. It's one of the best things I do and I'd be happy to answer questions if any of you guys are considering donating for the first time.

Have a great day and be safe out there.

Great morning fellow boardlings,

Partly cloudy, 52° with a high hearing 69° for today in the trailerhood.

Yesterday's ride & hike turned into an unexpected adventure. Just as we arrived near the mines we were going to explore, the steering on Mike's CanAm broke while on a down hill curve.

We got him onto a small pad of level ground off the main trail and began to access the malfunction. It appears the pinion in the rack & pinion may have broke. It took he & i about an hour to remove the unit right there with the tools we had on hand - just enough of the right things to field strip it. It ain't never good when your wheels are pointed at each other.

On the bright side, at least we were not doing that job while laying in the snow.

Mike & Deb took our RZR while Dorla rode back with the couple from Mesa. The intention was to get back to the dealer to see if repair parts were available. No luck there, closed Mondays. They all left me on the mountain with some pizza, brownies and an MRE so I was all set for several hours.

After a couple hours, I got a message that Mike & Deb were on there way back to "rescue" me. We figured out a way to tow the CanAm out with no steering. We used a ratchet strap to bind the front wheels together. Deb would drive the RZR, Mike rode his machine mostly to use the brakes while I walked along side & turned the wheels in the direction needed. A little trial & error and we got things going and headed back to the main road. Got going so well that Mike & Deb left me in the dust. I walked the 2 miles down and out. Could have rode I suppose but they were doing so well they didn't need to be interrupted by me.

We got to the road just as a Canadian from the trailerhood arrive with his trailer. We loaded the CanAm & were headed back in just a couple minutes.

While I was hanging out up on the mountain I did poke the camera over the fence at a mine shaft.

Mike ordered a new rack & pinion last night. $130 for the entire unit. The six parts to repair the broken one would cost about $95. Easy choice there. We will be playing mechanic with the CanAm up on blocks in the trailerhood tomorrow. I'm sure we will have an audience.

Morning

Good morning from Indy. Cloudy and 36 heading for 45. Got a couple of chores on my to-do list and a unplanned one just popped up. Got home from breakfast and found a roller from the overhead door laying on the garage floor. The axle was still in the bracket. Quick trip to Menards and a quick fix but not one I was counting on. Looked like an adjustment on the bracket was in order. Don't think the roller was running true. Eyeball Engineering took care of it. Heading out to get sheared shortly.

Have a good day.

lovely weather

OK, just had to chime in.
High today of -4. WOOHOO.
Beats last week of -36.
Air temps, not wind chill.

I'd like to brag about -40 keeping the riff raff out of state. But they crawled/slithered in during the Baken boom & haven't been completely eradicated/removed...yet.
