23° here in Upstate NY this morning, it is to be a pretty decent today with the high temperature to be about 40°. It seem this week will be up and down with temperatures but no real snow in the forecast.

Yesterday was a busy with some minor glitches and today I will be on the road all day I know. I believe spring is on the way and that makes me feel good and get through the minor things easier.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning from Bartonville Texas 56 and mostly cloudy with the high just 71. Looking like I might be not seeing the full moon tonight.
Yesterday I rested well all morning then spent the afternoon doing the taxes. That is always a painful experience, this year was worse.
Today, don't know yet. See what happens.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Good Morning

31 and more sun on the way, hope this trend continues with the weather. No Amish yet, gonna have to do a pose' round-up on them to get the barn done. But he is finishing up two houses that have been slowed by the winter. The battery powered Stihl saw works great for trimming tree branches. I was surprised how easy it cut and handled, after reading some of the book!! Enjoy the sun be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

Good morning everyone....at the shop waiting on the coffee pot to do it's thing. Worked on the stone bucket yesterday while my son tacked up gussets for the wire spools. My daughter is supposed to come in with him today to help with some stuff while on spring break.

I got a call from the guy I bought my 66 Coronet from and they decided they weren't going to be using the engine they pulled from it so I am going to pick it up this weekend hopefully. It is a 440 with 440source alum.cylinder heads and a Edelbrock Victor intake and a Holley carb. Supposedly it was pretty nasty from what the guys I got it from said. The trans has a 3800 stall converter. Hopefully the long sit hasn't hurt anything too bad. I'm sure I'll re gasket the whole thing and probably new bearings to be safe. Only thing that concerns me is they said the guy milled the heads to bump the compression up to 11 to 1.

More stone box welding this morning for a while at least....maybe all day.

Hope everyone has a good day!

morning all. 26 and breezy this morning, with a storm moving around. May or may not get some moisture. Mountains sure need another shot of snow.
Guess I must have caught someones crud this weekend while visiting the Grands. Not feeling to hot but better this morning than last night.
Worked in the shop most of the day yesterday, warmer weather and the cows are taking care of themselves better.
Hope to finish up two tractors and get another in today, sounds like a lot though.
Better get around, have a great day and be safe.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Morning Gents! Its 40º and clear headed for the low 60's. Looks like rain is in the forecast again for tomorrow.

Day 12 of the remodel. They plan to finish the trim today and touch up whatever paint that needs attention. Then they won't be back until the counter tops are ready. I'm going to install a couple of receptacles under the cabinets for the disposal and dishwasher today and for the refrigerator. The appliances are scheduled to be delivered today also.

Not much else going on. You'all have a good one.

good morning folks. It's 30º here with sunshine coming, I guess. Didn't really pay attention to the forecast this morning.

I got my Arrowhead bolt nose kit and breech plug in from the 700ML last night...with no instructions. The guy emailed them to me fairly quickly, but by then I had it 95% together. Pretty slick system. I'm having issues with primers though. They either have a rim that's too big to go into the groove on the bolt, or they're too fat to fit the breech plug. I suspect I'll have to tune the plug to my primers with a drill bit, but not sure what to do with the bolt nose. I have the parts in the truck, I'll play around tonight at the shop with various primers and see which fits best and go from there.

Duty calls. Better answer. Have a good one!

Good morning, GoGo. It's a frosty 34 in Louisville, gonna be sunny and go up to a nice 54. Chance of some rain late tomorrow night.

I called the Cookeville, TN, hospital yesterday afternoon, wanting to check on VolDoc, but they said he wasn't there. Guess he went to Nashville. If anyone hears anything, please let us know.

Shane, I don't have a clue what your daughter is majoring in at college, but I'm glad to hear she's helping Dad at the shop during spring break. It's got to the point where I get a little angry when I hear grown adults whining about having $50k+ in student loan debt and they can't find a job. I was really worried that Obama was gonna "write off" those debts, which means you and I pay for them. The next time the Dems take the White House I guarantee there will be a big push for that.

Have a great day and be safe out there.

Morning gang, headed to 50 here today, gonna be nice! I have a guy coming for 2 days work around the farm with a backhoe, have several small projects for him to do. He was supposed to be here yesterday but blew a brake seal on his dump truck and had to fix that. Oh well, such is life, typical situation for me. I got 100 rounds of 45/70 loaded yesterday, 350 grain slug, got my 1884 Trapdoor regulated dead on with the bullet hitting about 2 inches high at 100yds, no right or left windage required. I also cast about 300 .30 slugs, 170 gr, 100 of them for a buddy, he has a 03A3 that shoots them under an inch at 50 yds, and about 2" at 100, with no recoil! Well got to run, remember those in need of prayers, Buff out!

It's still barely morning I suppose, I don't know how y'all get up so early....must be you may still have a job to show up at? Or force of habit when you did?
My Damcows don't require me to punch the time clock, but I'm sure they would like some hay later on today. It is 27° and a frost that looks like a SNOW. I am waiting till it warms up a bit to feed cows on the open station tractor....and waiting for it to warm before I spray another tank of week killer on some more hay and pasture. Maybe get that done today and get the hay unroller back on the cab tractor.

Voldoc is probably in Nashville, because he's been banned from the Cookeville butchery shop by now...he's been there a year. I hope he gets along good.
Shane, what kind of Gas you going to use in that 440 w 11:1 compression.? Pump gas ain't going to work. I had a Vette with 11: 1 compression when the high octane stuff went away....barely ran on pump gas.

Dean, those Damcows sure did look cold in that photo....rough on them. I had a new. Calf yesterday. Mom COW was in labor when I took the hay up to them, I came back in an hour and it was up looking for the milk dispensers.
I suppose I better head out and check on the critters,. Have a safe day.

Jr I think I have about 2 choices...buy expensive race gas.....I used C16 in my turbocharged Bug at $12 a gallon....that was 7 or 8 years ago. Or switch and run E85 which I can get local....should make it run cool too. Only other option is to put dished pistons in to lower the comp. Once I get it I'll figure out where it's at. The guys I got it from just built the trans and put the kits in to narrow the leaf springs. Who knows whats on the inside....could be stock...would be nice to fins a nice forged crank and H beam rods in there.:D

I don't think it's gonna matter too much...it's all gonna be expensive!
