I married my High School Sweetheart.
I guess we`ve known each other about 32 years. I still cannot wait to see her every morning when I wake.
She has been there for me through thick and thin, nursed me back to health after too many "bad things" happened, forgivin my "stupid things", and then promptly forgotten them, and always been my best friend. In 49 years I have never met a more selfless, steadfast and brave person.
She shot down the 5x6 bull that had me down and was trying to disassemble me, and she saved me from drowning when she pulled me out from under the quad that had me pinned underwater in the Kodiak backcountry. Those acts pale in comparison to the unwaivering love and support she has given me.
She gave me two nearly perfect kids who have never caused us a minute of heartache, and the greatest gift I ever had was the doc letting me be the one to deliver them. When we realized how bad our school system was, she took on the full time job of being a teacher, and never blinked when her students had guns in the classroom.
My only wishes for the future are to be able to be even half the person she is, and to have at least another 28 years. I am so blessed.
God has truely assigned me my own personal Angel.
