Find me a good prarie dog town and it will happen sooner than later. Have not been since 2012 and I am dying to get started West again.
Also, a second request. A dirt pile with a hill to stretch the Chetyac out with
Ouch

Doc. Mentioning yourself, Don M, and photoshop at the same time brought a grin to my face. Who was that mystery photoshop user? Maybe some guy called Rooster???
I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'm sure glad to DOC and the DOG are back!:)

Wasn't sure I'd ever get a chance to break out these photos again. There are some classics here.

I'm pretty sure this next one was Doc's very first visit to one of Jackie's Buck Creek shoots. The other guy is Todd Lynn of Hackey Sack fame.

Here's one of my very favorite Doc photos. He fell in love with my mother's sugar cookies, so for several years I brought a box just for him when we were on Safari. See that big dark stain on the side of the box? That's from all the butter in the cookies, I swear. But crisp and light as a feather, just ask Doc.

And finally a non-Doc photo, but it does include DonM's Stars and Bars rifle that we saw earlier in this thread. I'd swear the rifle was a .22-.250 at the time and shot like a flipping laser out to 400-500 yards. Just point and shoot.

Fish--thanks for posting the old pics

Made my day to see someone posting pics besides myself as I'm sure it did many others.
Loved it. Keep em coming.

I have a pic of 5 women draped over Junebug, following him around like school girls but I can't find it.

Getting back to the days of yester year. Love it!
97 yards

This is great. I had forgotten about the famous 97 yard club. I was proud to have been a member but I have no pix to back up such an audacious claim.

I think that was around the time talk about the "April" scopes began? :)
Doug, I set up my backyard range at 97 yards so I could practice!;):D That's a prestigious club to be in!

Explanation:::Voldoc's first PD Expedition Safari run with me. He came loaded for bear with a Cooper 6.5 x 284 and his shoulder was black and blue by sunset. This is our first 500 yard shot ever and we got it at the same PD den. Now Doc's little critter crawled most of the 500 yards after yes being hit at the dialed in to his NF 97 yds. This pic demonstrates the difference between a 6.5 cal 140 gr SCENAR(???) hit and a 87 gr V-Max out of a 6 mm Remington probably at least 3300 fps. My 6 mm REM field dressed that baby out and we tanned the hide in the Nebraska sun.
Voldocster

Here is a little more descriptive pic of that most memorable day. As I remember, if this was the right trip and I think it was an early trip in April,
the prarie chickens were mating and I saw the male dance and drooming sounds of his throat.

Yikes

That Volkitten looked so much like one of my nieces that her sister thought it was her. I mean she's a dead ringer.
