Vortex being a fairly local company, and having good products, I've done a lot of business thru them. I've also helped to get a friend sponsored by them. So when my brother Jeff (as a regional director for hunter safety in his state) was tasked to start a youth .22 shooting team, he asked me who's scope he should spend the state's money on.... I said Vortex! I contacted a connection I have there and told him how my brother got four .22 rifles donated locally, now he needs scopes. I mainly as I told Vortex hoped they could give him very reasonable prices. They sent Jeff four new scopes in mounts, ready to put on his rifles! I told Jeff, no matter what happens to the scope, they will take care of him. With kids that have little if any knowledge of gun handling, things are bound to happen to the scopes.
Keep that in mind when you look for a new scope.... I did. I took treats into them at their new headquarters and walked out with a 3-15 Viper PST Gen II W/FFP reticle.
They started years ago with their showroom, customer service and sales in one room, now they have a beautiful new headquarters (that my other brother helped design)

Gotta Love Stories Like That

Good customer service and getting youngsters involved in shooting, the RIGHT way.
I bought my first Vortex scope last year and I’m quite pleased with it.
Speaking of the next generation of shooters, I went to the local gun club Thursday evening and the parking lot was jam-packed with teenagers. The Scholastic Clays Trapshooting folks were practicing. The program was going strong back in 2005-2009 when my son was doing it and it looks like it just keeps getting bigger.
