Before you get up and drop your favorite gun into your pants pocket on Jan. 1, maybe you should warm up your computer and see what new 'traps' may await you if you walk out the door with a gun in your possession!! About twenty states have passed new laws that go into effect on this date and some are rather questionable! Extended waiting periods to buy, banned stocks, triggers, magazines and many other things including, in the Peoples' Republic of Illinois, confiscation of all of your guns should a family member think that you "are depressed or may cause yourself harm" for some damreason! Then the cops get to come in and "REMOVE" them to 'PROTECT YOU'! Nothing is guaranteed as to when they 'might' be returned either, nor how they would be identified and/or protected from damage, or receipts of what was taken, etc. when in the "custody" of the police department, sheriff or whomever is 'concerned' for YOUR safety and good health! Most likely, in other words, GONE, Mallard; gone for good! Yeah, they'd never use the police against honest, law-abiding citizens would they? In a pigs eye they wouldn't!! It's here and it's here now, Doubter!! Just check the laws for Illinois & California for examples! Yeah, WOW!! There are eighteen other states going to legalize new legislation effective Jan. 1, 2019, too! The day is here and the damDemoncrats are a-dancing in the streets, or at least the aisles of their Legislative buildings!! THIS IS PASSED AND SIGNED LEGISLATION I'M TALKING ABOUT, NOT PROPOSED!!

Just imagine the havoc a pizzed-off old lady can have with this law!! OR, a damwife beater could lose ALL of his toys and the right to own any forever! Or a pizzed off neighbor, even!! Yes, forever! Research the laws, as I ain't going to look 'em all up for you, but California has that type of language in one of their new, PASSED, and GOING INTO EFFECT laws!
