I've shot probably 16lbs of 844 in a 222 Rem Mag, 223 & 223AI w/NBT 50 gr. This powder did very well. The only reason I'm not still shooting it is I'm nearly out of it and can't find anymore for the price.

I intend to use 846 this year in same and have some loads together for testing if it warms up a little. I have about 16lbs of 846 and will try it in the 223AI and a 22-250AI, both w/50gr Vmax. I expect it will do OK, but can't much just yet.

I Have Shot Some Of The WC844

I shot WC 844 along with Sierra 40 Blitz Kings bullets in two .222 Mags
in the Prairie Dog Fields of South Dakota last year. I was impressed
with both of the rifles performance. I just used H335 as a starting point
and worked up the loads. Quick load says that 30.0 grains of H335 will
work (max load), so with the WC844, start at around 28 grains and work
up slowly watching for pressure signs. That is with a 40 grain bullet in
a .222 Mag Improved.

The quality of these bulk powders are as good as canister powders, but the burn rate will vary quite abit from lot to lot. For this reason it is always best to buy these powders in large quanities because you should start over and work up your load every time you change lot numbers.

Wc844/846

Great stuff but it's getting harder to lay you hands on. Good velocities and very accurate. Use it in my .222, 223 and 222 Remington Mag.

Just bought some

Only place I could find it was Pat's Reloading, 80.00/8lbs. The WC844 was a tad faster than the H335 I've been shooting but it works just as well. I've also got 8lbs of the WC846 which I've not tried yet.

Was hot is brothers new 700LVSF 223. Old Doug
