69° here in Upstate NY this morning under fair skies, the high temperature will be going up to about 756°. We have a 80% chance of heavy rain with gusty thunderstorms for today and tonight.

Yesterday I ended up being on the road quite a bit instead of just the morning as I had planned on. Today I am hoping to be home more especially with the weather. I have things I need to catch up on here.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning from Kearney Missouri, it's clear and 64, high about 81. Yesterday was uneventful, cloudy all day and light spotty rain in Missouri.
Today is trying to locate some Herter's presses and photograph them. At the estate of a friend. Then heading west.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Good morning my friends. It’s 69 in Indy heading for 80 with a good chance for rain. Thunderstorm rumbled through last night. Pretty good light show. Nothing much going on today. There’s always brass to be trimmed, though, and I have no Valkyrie ammo loaded.

Gonna’ get moving. Have a good day.

53* here this morning. KEN I'm little north of you, couple-3 hours. My seester & BIL live about 6 miles east of Kearney in EXcelsior Springs. Small world, for real.
Going to take the truck to Des Moines & get my snow blade for our Gator, might hit a few stores with my wife.

morning all. 36 here with highs in the low 80s or high 70s.
Well we kinda missed a good chance of a shower yesterday, spit a few drops then the wind came up and dirt blew.
No other moisture in sight, but should have a really good dew this morning on the hay.
We got another circle baled yesterday and a good start on a circle of oat hay. Will bale again this morning.
I got another spare tire made up for the rakes yesterday along with some other odd jobs.
Happy Hump Day to you all. Prayers for those with health issues and those on the road and our country.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good morning folks, and happy HUMP day Mikey. It's 68 here as fog burns off. Gonna be a steamer with storms likely later. Like Dean, there's a lot of dew this morning.

Worked at the shop last night. Nothing much got done. Kinda slow, but when you have not much of anything to sell, what do you expect. Answered the phone a few times. "Got any (insert powder, bullets, primers, ammo)?" Nope. "Know when you'll be getting some in?" Nope. Maybe it'll ease up soon? In the meantime, I'm gonna fling pointy sticks at critters. I think I'm going to set the truck camper on the back of the truck come end of Oct and go spend a week or two in South Dakota chasing whitetails. I'll be a fish out of water on the prairie not in a tree stand, but I'll give it a go. Friends have lots of ground and I can buy over the counter tags. Talked with Shane, might have to use his gravity for a night on the way by. Doug R, I'll be expecting a traffic report, and armed escort around Indy.

Well I didn't sleep for crap, and doubled up on the coffee this morning to compensate. I should have stayed home, but knowing I want time off, I need to get things done. Better git...prayers sent and have a good one!

Morning Everyone!

Its 68º and cloudy here headed for the mid 80's. It looks like we will not get any weather from the latest storm.

Yesterday was another day watering food plots at the Doc's place. I did manage to drop my truck off for service on the way out of town.

More watering today at the Doc's place. Samo samo..................

Prayers offered for those with health problems, our Country and any others in need.

Y'all have a good one.

Great morning folks,

Partly cloudy, 62° but only going to 73° later here near HaflwayUSA.

Busy day yesterday. Parts ordered for a snowblower, weedeater and a generator. Yard work was worked thorough. I waxed the front of the new camper & finished buffing just as the rain came in the late afternoon.

Heading to old hunting partner's place today.

HAPPY HUMP DAY, GoGo. It's 74 in Louisville, headed to only 80, which will be nice. We're smack between two bands of pretty heavy thunderstorms, but they're moving together toward the northeast, so it looks like we'll get zip. The band to the north of us may be hammering TAJ pretty good.

Thanks for the Hump Day photo, Charlie. Not gonna try to top that one; I'll just enjoy it.

My mail here at the house usually isn't delivered until 6 p.m. or later and I was eating wings last night with Old Quartet buddies, so I didn't check it until around 8:30. Box was crammed absolutely full. The good news is that the huge bundle included the 4-5 pieces that should have come Saturday, including my missing letter from the Social Security Admininstration. Hooray! On the other hand, the bundle also contained at least 12-15 envelopes that go to addresses on a street that intersects mine about 400-500 yards away. I can't help but conclude that some sorry gubmint worker got to my place and decided he was stopping for the day, so he just crammed my box full of mail for other homes. What in the world would cause a guy to do that? Even worse, to do something so blatantly wrong tells me that this guy isn't worried at all about being fired. Heck, maybe he WANTS to be fired. If I weren't so mad, I might feel sorry for him. We don't seem to have the same mailman more than maybe a week at a time, so I'm not all that worried about repercussions if I rat this one out, but will it do any good? JR, as a former mailman, what's your recommendation?

Y'all have a good'n, be safe, and lift up prayers for Ken as he's on the road, for Bruce as he goes to OKC for treatment, for the COVID-infected Cheek family, and for all others who've asked.

Only sprinkles here Mike. Doug, I saw "lights" N of me when I rolled it up last night getting to bed early for me. Then I couldn't sleep. Started to get up to read but persevered. Up at the unearthly hour of 0530 - wheeee!
They are cutting corn and beans locally. Melons are finished and pumpkins and Coosaw gourds are the items now. At least the punkins have handles on them. The crook neck Coosaws - kinda.
Might try some Pickleball tomorrow night. The left knee is going to need some strengthening. Tonight is Bridge.
Not much else to report - Tom out.

Pity poor George; with a high of 756 degrees he’s going to get hot. Another line of severe storms went through here las evening with rain, wind, thunder, and lightning. This never happened when Trump was President.

Upper 60's this AM, going to the mid 70's as the day moves on with light rain forecast for most of it. It's what my family calls a #5 (old joke). Tarcila has gone across town to keep the young prince for the day, me and the westies are on our own and they hate going out in the rain. I'm sure I have lots to do but most of it doesn't come to mind right now. Might be a good day to just sit on the porch and listen to the rain.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

Morning all, 74 headed to a high of 78, rain likley all day. Picked up the mower yesterday, got half of the mowing done, going to try to finish it today between showers. Loaded 50 rounds of 45/70 yesterday also. Going to do a lot of gunwork today, bed a rifle, clean 2 rifles that have never seen a cleaning patch or solvent. Get one ready to blue also. You all have a good one, prayers for those that need them, Buff out.

Charlie…we did get .3” last night with 3” of lightening. Lot of thunder boomers. It looked wonderful this morning…..nearly as good as your dew.
Helped DIL move some cattle this morning….they really get to wandering for 3- 4 days after you wean the calves off them. Had 13 head that went about 2 miles to corrals at son’s house. I get to drive feed PU while she follows horseback. One of the perks of being old.
Off to OKC about noon today. Or whenever wifey gets thru making and canninga salsa. Tomatoes finally started to produce. That’s about all we plant (4) and a couple of jalapeños. We eat a lot of salsa. Usually a large batch for us and a large batch marked church (for the weak hearted). Always have 2-3 Messican casseroles at church dinners, but everyone wants wifey’s salsa.
I think that .3” should be just right on the dusted in wheat. Maybe DIL will start sowing again tomorrow, and I can finish up Friday. She and little redhead leave Friday after school for a week at eik camp.
Here is pic of DIL and her elk couple of years ago.

And pic of son and little redhead with one of his.

Prayers for our Country, Israel, and all Y’all.

Good Morning from the 🌞 E side of the Chesapeake. 78 now with a high of 87 . Taking the Mrs for a check up on her knee she's making progress slowly . Then we go and do the FFL transfer .In 1990 she purchased a new Taurus pistol she sent it in was having a issue with cycling .Taurus contacted her saying they were going to replace the pistol with a new model . I know she will be happy getting it back not having it is like a duck out of the water. Well everyone have a great day and be safe . Going to tackle a couple of small things before go to the hell hole called Richmond VA . I was very discouraging when I heard they removed the General Lee monument last week . Changed the highschool name that I graduated from . Geez the whole area where I'm from Mechanicsville VA was a battle field . I remember as a kid kicking cast bullets in the yard playing . Anyway have a good one

Bruce, have a safe trip to OKC and the infusion goes ok. I see my oncologist this afternoon and another infusion on Monday. Seems like that's all I get to do anymore.

Hopes for a positive outcome for both of you. I think you would agree, it sucks, but it beats the alternative. For many of us, had we been born twenty years earlier, we probably wouldn't have lived anywhere near this long. I've had at least 7-8 abscesses in my teeth that would have brought me a very painful death before penicillin.

Late check in here from the shop. Not too bad out today. I got to the shop about 5:30 yesterday morning and ended up back at the dairy hanging the other weight on a Case tractor.....brought it up to 62k lbs. I got home about 11:00pm right before the rain.
It was a little after midnight by the time I ate and showered and then crashed on the couch. The wife is staying with her mom for day or two since her mom had surgery to make sure she does ok.
Got here today about 8:30am and been at it all day trying to get stuff done.
FedEx delivered my new M/T truck tires earlier as well....a day earlier that stated! Now to see about getting them mounted and balanced.

Hope everyone has a good day!
