63° here in Upstate NY this morning, it is supposed to be a nice day today with the temperature going up to about 83°.

Got my yearly eye exam yesterday, still 20-20 and no problems in either eye. I had cataract surgery a few years ago on both eyes and that is the only problem I have had over the years. I have worn reading glasses since my early 40's.

It rained most of the day again yesterday with flash floods all around here. So far we haven't had any problems where I live but within 15 mi. of here there has been.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Happy Hump Day

69 degrees and only headed to 82 with some rain today.
Congratulations on the 20/20 vision George. My eyes aren’t too bad but I find myself wearing my glasses more and more each day.
Got the grass mowed and some brush cleared yesterday in preparation for a new fence. I’m not sure when that project will start but it will probably be in the next couple weeks.
Number two son is celebrating a birthday today so I think all of the kids and my parents will be here tonight for one of his favorite meals- my wife’s chicken and dumplings.

Get out and try to make it a good day

morning all. 55 to start today, lower 80s later with 30% chance of moisture. Probably 100% chance of more smoke in the air, yesterday was hazy all day.
We got another field of oat hay baled up, don't think we have any ready for today, but it sure dries out fast this year.
Need to service both balers today, been a lot of baler thru them the last couple days.
Not much else going on here.
Happy Hump Day, have a good one and be safe.
GOD BLESS. Dean

good HUMP day morning folks. It's 67º here headed near 90 they say. Good day to work inside in the AC. Had dinner with the folks from the gun shop last night. One of our employees is headed to college so they took us all out. Good beer and food. Not sure what's on the agenda today. I need to clean my muzzle loaders at some point after shooting last weekend. Need to get more BH209 and head back to the range sometime too. Hunting season is right around the corner.

I'm still chipping away the work left on my desk while on vacation. Better get some coffee in me and get back at it. Have a good one!

Good morning and HAPPY HUMP DAY!, GoGo. It's 74 in Louisville, really warm, but only going to 83. I guess the warm start is due to the heavy cloud cover overnight. Rain due today, but I don't know if it'll be "real" rain or just spotty summer thunderstorms.

I'm working from home today, so will probably fit in a few honey-do's. Biggest To Do for me is finding a couple of pieces of reloading gear that have gone walkabout. I know they're somewhere, but haven't found them in a couple of cursory searches. If they're loose somewhere in what I call my "gun room," then Heaven help me.

... my parents will be here tonight for one of his favorite meals- my wife’s chicken and dumplings.
You brought back good memories for me, Carl. My maternal grandmother was a stupendous cook and one of her trademark dishes was chicken and dumplings. Even though she had some German in her heritage a few generations back, Grannie's dumplings were the flat, slick, Southern kind and I loved them. When she got up around 90 somebody told her you could take grocery store tortillas, slice them, drop them in the broth and they made decent dumplings. They were OK, but not the real deal. When Granny introduced those tortilla dumplings, I knew she was on a downhill slide, and I was right. I sure hope there are no tortillas in Heaven! :D

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Time to check in. I've had several posts working but if I leave the page, only 1x out of 5 has it returned from draft to o where it would post.
I spent 12 days in rehab. Humana was pushing to get me released early on. No wgt bearing allowed on right leg, therefore, how do you do steps? Later we did some curb work and I was ready to go. Humana requires 48 hrs of written notification so I had to twiddle or rotate thumbs...
Made it home Sun, finally sleeping a decent amt of time each night after getting the exercises in. I've found that doing them before mid afternoon gives the hip time to quit barking. This helps getting to sleep immensely.
Rain chances are high going into the w/e. Not hotter than usual, just August in So. Indiana.
Recoup is going well, it just takes 20x the amt of time to get anything done and that with only toe pressure on rt leg.
What does surprise me was the swelling in lower leg and foot. My ankle feels like it is pumped to abt 100 psi. Let's see if I can post this.
Staples come out today. I've never had those before. I have been told it isn't a stick between the teeth situation.
Let's see if this will post. Tom

Off to range duty. It is usually light attendance so I get some load testing in. I have a the .221 FB in CZ 527 that I just can't seem to get around to.
It is 78*, humid and both are climbing.

Tom, keep up the PT and get well.
Best of health to all.

Great morning,

60° now 80's later & no clouds in sight.

Got all the tasks off the chore list but one. I did not pick up Debra Dearest from the airport. She was delayed over an hour getting out of JAXFL. She was airborne long enough that her flight was diverted from Denver to Colorado Springs to take on fuel. Storms in Denver left all flights in and out stacked up. She arrived Denver about 10:30pm, some 4 hours late. She did not want me to make the 6hr drive to rescue her. So she expects to get to Rock Springs about 4:40 this afternoon.

That gives me 8 or so hours to cause troubles.

Good morning all....even though it's almost over. I was just alerted today is my 20th wedding anniversary and now need to do some damage control before the wife gets off work!!

Other than that still welding damcones and should have a trailer here for repair in the next day or so. I also need to find a utility bed or build a bed for my 2001 dodge truck so I can get rid of Mighty ******...a 96 chevy 3500 with 486,000 miles on it!! It still has a decent body and runs decent but the little small block don't like to pull all that weight around!

Scott it take me all of about 5 minutes to get into trouble most of the time......8 hours would be rough!

You all have a good day!

63°. You guys are killing me! It's 80° here at night! AND 100% humidity. Like I always say... Houston is a great place to live. If you're a toad.

Have a great one fellas. I am hobbling off to get a haircut in preparation for Saturday's nuptials. From the looks of things I am not walking down that aisle after all. Hurts too much to take steps on my right leg. Looks like crutches for me. Disappointing but it beats falling on my face I guess.
