36° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high temperature for the day is to get up to about 45°. It is going to be a windy day with gusts to 25mph and we have about a 40% chance of rain.

Yesterday I was on the road and today will be the same way, I guess it is okay with the weather we have had I can't do to much anyhow.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning, it's 29 degrees now, high in the upper 50's. We are on the road early this morning. Back to Iowa Falls for closing on Gary's property. Other than the final writing checks to all the grandkids it is finished.
I still have a basement full of reloading supplies to sell but that won't happen till next year.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Good Morning

34 this morning in NC Ohio going to the 50's. Spent most of yesterday moving firewood inside, about 1.5 cords and my body tells me "that was stupid". It is nice when going out to stoke the fire to have dry firewood 20 ft from the stove not having to go out in the cold to get wood. Hope JR and JB are safe and sound in the USA. I'm making some spaghetti for lunch today, swing thru Ohio and I wold share with you JR. Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

Good morning gentle persons. It’s 36 here this morning. Planning on a range trip to stretch the Valkyrie out to 200 but it’s gonna’ have to warm up a little. Loaded some 75 ELD and 69 SMK last night for the occassion. Ran into a glitch in the Dillon. Their customer service told me to use the #5 shell plate and #3 buttons. When I got 3 cases in the machine the shell plate locked up tighter than Dick’s hat band. Looks like I ahould be using the plate and buttons for the 6.8 SPC which is the parent case. I emailed Dillon to see what they have to say. Fortunately, I already had the pieces they suggested so I didn’t spend anything on their suggestion. We shall see.

Trying to get a few thousand people together to storm Disneyland and make them let us in free.

Heading for the breakfast blind. No golf this morning.

Have a good day.

Great morning folks,

34° with mostly cloud cover to begin the day here near Halfway USA. High today of 48° and it appears the wind will be slack much of the day.

Errand were handled yesterday. Gas cans filled before a price increase hit. Propane tanks were filled, nice to get a discount on that because I filled 6 of them. The pantry is restocked as well.

Spent more time in the barn putting thing back where they belong.

It was too nice out yesterday to peck away at a new letter. It may get started today. Not sure what other sort of trouble I need to cause today. Maybe sneak off to the range & check zero on the 30-06 & set zero on the 300mag back to 100.

morning all. 42 and wet! It's raining, started around 2:30 this morning and was still sprinkling when we got up.
Damcow work today, preg. testing the first calf heifers. Only around 120 of them. But not till this afternoon.
Donated blood yesterday and got a couple odd jobs done around the farm.
Not much else going on.
Breakfast waiting, have a great day. Happy Hump Day!
GOD BLESS. Dean

good morning folks. It's a chilly 41º here with calm winds for now, but looking at Scott's link and the local weather forecast and it doesn't look like I'll be up a tree tonight. Going to be blowing 15-25 mph lately. I don't like being up a tree in that kind of wind. I'm going to hunt at the house in the morning anyway, so maybe I'll give it a rest tonight? Or I'll hunt down in the hollow at the ole widow neighbor's? More protected down there and my stand is in a much bigger tree.;)

Scott, rezero the 300WM to 100yds??? Why? Are you nuts or just OCD? Two shots for 2 elk, leave it alone man! LOL

Doug, you're so PC. If it were anywhere BUT disneyland, I'd be in.

Well, I had exactly ONE of the Mega Millions numbers last night. Guess I ain't buying GGVG and running it the way it should be, or a boat, or an island, or anything for that matter. And I STILL have to go to work. Bummer.

Have a good one.

HAPPY HUMP DAY, GoGo. It's a brisk 36 in Louisville, going to 65.

Got together with buddies from my former quartets last night, sang a few, then paid a visit to Hooters.

I get to commiserate with Charlie and Scott re: their auto battery issues. My wife's brother drove his late model Nissan up all the way from Texas. Got here, stopped somewhere and his car wouldn't start. Cindy was close, so she gave him a jump. The brother is up here to meet some chick he met on the Internet and bought tickets to take her to an Elton John concert here last night. So wifey, being a good sister, decides the right thing to do is just swap cars so he wouldn't have to worry about the battery. She left for work just now and I had to go out and jump her bro's car again. At least she's smart and backed into the driveway last night so we could put the non-starter and my Escape nose to nose. One look at the battery terminals and I could see how the battery might not be charging. Geez! I like Cindy's bro, but damn, man, take care of your equipment! You come all that way to meet a chick and then your car won't start? I hope that chick's smart enough to see that clue for what it is.:confused:

Should be a light, short day at work for me. I have a 2 p.m. eye doc appointment to make sure my glaucoma is being controlled by the drops I use.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Good morning. 45 on the way to 69 here along the upper Sacramento River. Looks like it’s going to warm up to the mid 70’s the next few days. We need rain badly.

Went to the range yesterday. It’s owned by a small Rod&Gun I have belonged to for many years. It has Rifle, Pistol and Trap ranges. It’s in a beautiful forested location. When you are a member you get the gate combination. Usually, there are one or more people there. Many times the PD is there working on their handgun skills. Yesterday, I had the place to myself. Got the .257WBY shooting where I want it for next months hunt. Shot the Dakota Arms .222. I don’t know why I have never paid much attention to the .222 in the past. I shot loads with N133, H4198, H335 and IMR 8208. It shot them all very well, with H4198 the winner and N133 a close second. I’m shooting the 40gr Vmax. Can’t wait for the PD wars next year.

Have a great day and be careful out there.

Well ya, but I thought we all knew that! :D

300 yard Elk in the open desert does not compare to 100yds in the woods. The 300mag is my backup rifle for U.P. deer hunting. Though I suppose any of a few others would do that job. That Weatherby 308 needs mounts & glass & load testing or it would serve as backup.

Fine form Charlie

Pretty funny this morning Charlie. It is 5:40 here on the West Bank and I am half awake but I got a couple of chuckles anyway. 49 heading toward 62 today. Still no rain. I am not complaining. By spring time I’ll be tired of the rain at it will be swamp like here.
Have a great day gang

Low 40's and sunny in the hollow. Looks like it's gonna be cool and pleasant today. I've spent the last two catching up from being away camping about 1/2 of last week, but it's mostly done now. The wife is grandson sitting across town today, so it's me and the dogs. We're all too lazy to get into much trouble though. Starting to gather stuff for the UBR match Saturday. Making white bean soup and assembling targets. Always something that needs doing and that's a good thing. We signed up about 50 new members for the gun club this W/E. Picked up some much needed funds as the secretary and I are going through $$ like $h!t through a goose. We could be burning powder there in a few weeks if the rain will let up. I'll share some picks early next week when the range shed is done.

G'day Y'all,

Rick
