23° here in Upstate NY this morning with the high temperature to get up to about 32° today.

Yesterday was a very nice day for us, we went to my daughters house for awhile and saw our three granddaughters. Then we had nice Christmas supper here at home.

Well I am feeling quite a bit better and it is the start of the work week for me. I am hoping it won't be to hectic but time will tell.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Great morning folks,

32° with a bit of fresh snow left on the ground here near Halfway USA. 38° later today will probably melt it away.

The trip north was real nice. Great to visit with old friends who know the proper way to toss about some good natured ribbing.

This morning I'll be producing the gun club news letter & getting off in the mail. A trip to Menards is likely as I begin to fabricobble duct work & tin for the squirrel cage blower that will push air through the wrap around heat exchanger on the wood stove. It's been a while since I've done any tin knockin'. The reloading bench will get some company too.

Good morning from Bartonville Texas where it's 61 degrees with 100% chance of rain.
We survived the two days of serious eating. Now it's time to refocus and get back to work. Don't know what that is yet, but I need to spend some serious computer time. The rest of the family will be sorting through gifts and working on the several plates of cookies that remain.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Good Morning

Had a great time with my wife’s family celebrating Christmas yesterday. Back to work this morning. It shouldn’t be too bad this week though. The place is like a ghost town during the holidays so I can get more done than usual.

I have a funeral to attend later. She was a family friend and the widow of a World War 2 veteran who was a charter member of our gun club. I had the privilege of growing up right next door to them. If every kid had neighbors like them, the world would be a better place.

Make it a good day

morning all. 20 to start with on to around 40 later. Both my phone and computer weather say we'll get snow this evening thru Saturday. We sure need it in the mountains, if we get much down here it will make a very cold January!
Survived the busy day yesterday fine. After I posted here I went out back and shot the 6.5 creedmoor a few times. Still not where I think it should be but should whack a coyote with out much problem. Still going to try some more different loads. I have two new scopes coming this week, hope one has a finer cross hair than the one I'm using now! Think that will help my groups some also.
Have to make a trip to town this afternoon to donate blood, but other than that not sure what I'll find to do after chores.
Better get, Gwyn has to work today.
Have a great day, seems like Monday around here.
GOD BLESS. Dean

good morning folks. It's a chilly 31º with a heavy frost this morning. Deer everywhere on the way to work, but they all managed to stay out of my way.

Had a very nice day yesterday. Late dinner with family so the morning and afternoon were spent getting ready. I smoked a deer hind quarter. I had de-boned it and tied it back up then I injected it with Cajun butter and garlic stuff we had on hand. Smoked at 250º until 155º internal temperature (about 4 hours) then pulled it off, wrapped in foil and a blanket and kept it in a cooler until we were ready. It was very good, just a touch overdone for me. That was probably because we foiled it for so long, as it kept cooking a bit longer in the foil. The well-done members of the family thought it was outstanding. The rest of the food was excellent as well.

Kids had a ball opening and playing with presents and just goofing off. Lillie loved her two new fishing rods Pap got her.:D Miss Sue was completely completely caught off-guard. I told her my future son-in-law was getting our daughter a pistol. She said she probably wouldn't like that, and I could tell Sue wouldn't necessarily appreciate a gun either. So, I took one of my pistols and put her gift in the case and wrapped the case. I could almost see the disappointment in her eyes when she got the wrapping paper off, then I told her to look inside. I got her concert tickets to see Carrie Underwood. She was completely floored. BTW, our daughter's pistol didn't come from PSA yet but Randy told her what she was getting and she's really excited about it! Sue was wrong! :D

Well, enough rambling, I guess I better get some work done here. Think I'm doing a half day. See if I can get the chimney cleaned and stove issue resolved. May take the muzzleloader out later if I have time.

Have a good one!

30º as the sun peeks over the ridge. Going to the upper 50's today before the rain returns tomorrow. Pretty good weather for late December. Not sure just what I'll get into today. My wife has baby sitting duty all day and I have no orders to ship, so I'm considering going to the Two Brothers range for some work on a chamber I can't figure out just yet. Need to load one other powder to try and see if anything else turns up that needs doing first.

G'day Y'all,

Happy Hump Day, GoGo! Doesn't feel like a hump day, but there it is. It's 26 in Louisville, going to 52, which should feel pretty good.

Had my local daughter and her family over for brunch yesterday and it went just fine. My older, Texas daughter gets here next Monday and we'll make our way to West Kentucky for more family visits. Sure hope the weather stays about like what it is right now.

I'm working from home today through Friday, doing mostly end-of-year stuff. I'm kind of bummed because this stock market collapse may prevent me from retiring in late spring, as I was planning. I guess I need to meet with my financial advisor, but I really don't look forward to it because it appears I didn't get good, responsible advice and we'll have to talk about that.

Sounds like everyone else had a good holiday as well, and we can all be thankful for that. Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Morning

Good morning from Indy. We've got 28 heading for 47 with a wind advisory. They say to secure loose outdoor objects so I tied a concrete block on Too's collar. Julie's back to work today so I'm going to do............I don't know. Maybe some laundry, maybe some clutter disposal in the man cave. Speaking of the cave, my granddaughter, Olivia, asked if she could take a picture of my Dillon 550 Saturday. The Dem Senate candidate from southern Indiana she worked for didn't know people actually load their own ammo. She got thumped in the election.

Most of the left-overs are gone so Christmas is just about done. If I can survive New Year's Eve we'll be off and running with 2019. We don't go out on Amateur Night so survival has a better chance.

Better get on with it, whatever it is. Have a good day.

KF, I feel your pain on the stock market. My fund lost a ton. I was pretty broad based but it looks like an across the board hit. I don't tell the wife as she gets too worried about such matters. My take is it will be a year plus before we are back close to the 2018 highs. I am not making any adjustments at this time. Remember, you don't lose it until you sell it. Keep the faith. If the T man would stop the tweets the market might calm down. I have to hang on. I have no rich relatives waiting to die. In fact I have NO rich relatives, period.
