Where is the best buy on a complete AR 15 pistol upper

Just before Christmas I got a complete 10.5" pistol upper, including BCG, from Black Rifle Depot for $189 or thereabouts. Haven't shot it yet, but quality looks good to the eye.

Question for you EBR afficionados.
I like a .45 acp as many know. Relative shocking power has had my vote for a while. However the idea of higher round capacity and more mv, well, why not?
I'm thinking .458 Socom (sp) but it's been long enough since I looked into that and other large cal EBR options, I really don't remember much.
Pros, cons, mag capacity, sbr paperwork, even if purpose/cal built ?

CMMG Gaurd in 45acp get a pistol version avoid the tax stamp, load with with 45 Super or 450 SMC, uses Glock mags.
PSA has decent pistols/SBR uppers at a reasonable price.
