Hey, I have watched Moonshiners, I know what it is like there! Plus I knew a former Vietnam era green beret who became a Tennessee Fish and Wild Officer, and to quote, “it was worse there in the backwoods of Tennessee at times than Vietnam.”

Riiiiiigghhttt JR........Riight...and the stork brought us.
My relates around London's Swiss Colony would always look both ways before opening the cellar door. First apple jack I ever had. I'm sure there was stiffer stuff stashed for the grownups. I was about 9 I think.

"Moonshiners" is a TV show....nothing more. No such thing as Moonshine.
I beg to differ with you. I was presented a pint of Hawkins County moonshine from the Housewright still in 1967 and still have most of it. A bottle cap at a time was all I could handle. It still resides in our kitchen cabinet over the refrigerator.

Good stuff . . . not really. But it sure is potent.

Nascar guy Jr Johnson has his own 'shine in stores as well. Moving shine was how he learned to drive and build cars that go fast. ;)

I've had some that came from Kentucky. Most that I've had was harsh enough that you needed to cut it with something.

Well, maybe one around occasionally.
This one is really nice, about 24 gallons.
