I am looking into snow camo for coyote and really more so, deer hunting. I wondered about opinions on what specific camo pattern and products that anyone can reccomend??? Thanks in advance!

I got some at Cabela`s a few years back. They are coverhauls and reall work well in snow. I have a freind that has the same ones and he got out of the wood several yrds. befor I ever saw him, and I was looking for him. They are very warm though. If I`m going to do any walking I have to unzip the frount unless the temp is well below zero. At 20 degrees you are good in your underwear.

With out hesitation

The Natural Gear snow camo. Last I saw, Cabelas was running it on special and if they're out of it just Google up Natural Gear and it will take you to the website. Great stuff IMHO. WD

I think Catfish might be talking about the Snow Shadow pattern that Cabela's had in insulated coveralls a few years back. I do not think they offer these Snow Shadow coveralls any longer. Like Catfish said, they are extremely warm and blend in with the snow quite well. They are not something you want to wear and hike for miles if the temperature isn't mighty cold!!! Here's a photo of me in my set of Snow Shadow coveralls on a day when the temperature was -30Âş. I had two ski masks on under the wool balaclava. Fortunately, the wind was practically still. DO NOT stick your tongue on the pump handle when it is that cold out!!!

White coveralls..

I bought some extra large white painters coveralls some yrs. back. I used some kids felt tip pens to draw some camo patterns on the coveralls. I then washed them in hot water with some bleach to tone down the felt tip camo pattern. These have served me well over the yrs. and the price was very resonable. I have yet to wear them out or be cold in them due to the fract that I can wear layers under them. For my head and hands I use white fleece gloves and a white knit face mask. I also cover my rifle or shotgun, whatever I am using, with white tube socks for a quick snow pattern. All works well enuf to take generations of ducks, geese and 'yotes. Good luck!

Ditto...

normally one can find them large enough to wear something warm under them and they are cheap enough to buy a few sets in smaller sizes, in case you don't need to bundle up as much. I got several sets the local military base as surplus for 3-4 bucks a set. Another reason I like the cheapness of them...I'd be very upset if I ripped hundred dollar ones crossing a fence.

After researching it in the ground, (as always) I came to the conclusion that the Natural Gear snow camo pattern suited me best. I ordered from Bass Pro..INSULATED pants,$50...INSULATED PARKA,$50 but the parka is backordered. The parka price was half what Cabelas wanted for the same item. Thanks for all the input!
