Never shot there, but AFAIK the rules are the same for all the res, You will be required to have an indian guide at all times. The outfitter gets paid as does the guide. The guide is just an income center for the res. If you have plenty of dogs it might be worth it. I have shot the Rosebud many times, always with guides and it was OK. Good luck with your shoot.

I did check, no guide required there. You must buy a permit to hunt it though.

We've never shot on the Standing Rock res but, in our experience, both the Rosebud and the Pine Ridge require the purchase of a tribal license and the hiring of a tribal guide. Haven't shot the Pine Ridge for several years but we were on the Rosebud last year. License and guide required. I would proceed with caution. Good shooting.
