No help here. What are you building now?

I have long (on and off) harbored an interest in acquiring a lathe to dabble in gunsmithing. Maybe your projects had a part in rekindling this interest back in January, when I began looking around for a suitable lathe. As it turned out, I found an interesting machine in the back of my employers store room. It was hooked up and being used by a few employees for personal projects. The company had no actual use for it. With a little prodding, the safety guy decided he wanted this thing off the property.

After months of research, today, I won the internal silent auction for this 16 x 54 American Pacemaker. I have the space for it. I have a plan to power it. My friends have often heard me say "I need a tool, not a hobby". In this case, I may allow the tool to become the hobby.

 

I want to add another barrel to my switch barrel Stevens 44 1/2.
Currently I have a 219 Zipper and a 38-55 barrel. I want something in the middle and I have a ton of 6mm bullets!

The 6mm Donaldson Wasp is PERFECT....Period correct, 6mm, based on a 30-30 like the other two cartridges.

I just scored two beautiful forends on the ASSRA forum for $70!!!

Will look great with a Kreiger barrel I have waiting to be used.
